Huawei Honor Band 5 is very similar to Huawei Honor Band 4, but although some graphical GUI improvements (better icons basically) and the oximeter (which is difficult to get a reading from it), the Huawei Honor Band 5 has some pretty bad design decisions: the defalt face watch has less information, although having plenty of resolution (the same as the Huawei Honor Band 4)… but with no logic they decided to remove the date, the battery and bluetooth state from the default watch face. And no other has all this information now, all present on the default face on the Huawei Honor Band 4. Yes now you have a second screen with the battery percentage in numbers, bluetooth state when you tap (nice to have), but why remove it from the main screen! I hope (although I doubt it) this will be changed via firmware update. The new versions should add to the series, not subtract… for me the logical thing to do would be to have on the Huawei Honor Band 5 ALL the faces from the Huawei Honor Band 4, with some additional ones… for this reason I won't by the Huawei Honor Band 5 until this is fixed (whether it is done at all). Also the analog face watch of the Huawei Honor Band 4 is a lot easier to read, better looking and includes the day of the week… other regression for the Huawei Honor Band 5. And it should also include a minimalistic face: similar to the default one (plus date/battery icon), but with black background…
