What's Not To Love
This little gadget is amazing. I have the grating attachment for my Kitchen Aid mixer but it is time consuming to get it out and attach it. My husband bought this for me and I love it. It is very easy to use, shreds through soft and hard cheeses fast. Great for veggies and cleans up so easily. The suction on the bottom keeps it firmly in place. It does not feel cheap or flimsy.

A small price to pay for such convenience
I have an old Bosche mixer with grater/slicer attachments that's great for heavy-duty jobs but a pain to lift, assemble, and clean, so my purpose in buying this manual grater was to make small jobs quicker and easier. I was motivated to search out hand graters after my husband bought a 5-lb block of mozzarella cheese. Being as frozen/thawed cheese isn't the same and grated/sliced cheese doesn't last in the fridge nearly as long as a block, I wanted to be able to slice or grate small amounts of cheese as needed. We're eating a lot of lasagne and pizza meanwhile. I have no complaints about this product. The suction cup works great on my granite countertop. Doesn't budge. Understanding that the parts are plastic, albeit heavier and better quality than I expected for the price, I don't overload the chute and use very little pressure on the cheese in the chute and thus avoid heavy force on the crank. I can get 6+ oz of grated cheese with two passes in less than a minute. My 9-year old granddaughter has become a pro at this. I did check reviews to make sure it would handle soft cheese like mozzarella, and I can verify it does a beautiful job. Certainly, the cheese should be refrigerator-cold and the larger grate should be used for soft cheeses. There is virtually no waste left in the chute or on the grate. I have not used it for hard cheeses or hard veggies so I can't comment on how well it works for those things, but I believe similar precautions of putting small amounts at a time in the chute to avoid stressing the parts would only make sense when using any inexpensive plastic appliance. It came with a soft brush for cleaning the grates, which I like - if only to avoid cutting hands or fingers on the grates. I noted the complaint about putting the chute in the dishwasher due to that space where water gets trapped. I can see that this would be an issue, so I opt to wash the parts by hand. It takes so little time and effort, so I'd probably do this anyway.

Saves time!
This little grater is great! We love to grate our own Italian cheese, and in the past have always used the hand grater on the table, BUT when I got this... game changer! I ground one large block of peccorino Romano in about 5 mins. Stores for weeks in the fridge, and no "cellulose powder" (plastic) found in many of the grated cheeses (check the label on them!) One hint.... how firmly you push on the holder will determine how fine the grate is. We like finely ground, so just a gentle push. Perfect! Also, very easy to clean. I just rinse with soapy water, but they can go in the dishwasher. Great product!

I really like this!
I love how quickly and easily this shreds cheese! That's all I've used it for, but it works great. The only reason I didn't give it a full five stars is that there have been a few issues with the suction, but that's a small price to pay for how good it works. It will no longer take you a long and arduous time to beautifully shred or grate cheese, which we all know works better in recipes than buying pre-shredded cheese with all the non-caking agents in it, yuck. I love how quick this is to get perfectly shredded cheese for making Mac & Cheese, or a casserole, or for topping chili or soup.

Best grader
I love the ease of putting together and cleaning it. It grates cheese with ease. I haven't used on vegetables yet, but I think would work on zucchini and carrots. The only draw back is the cheese doesn't come out of the grater hole like I want. Besides that, it's great.

Works great
Works great and easy to use as I grate the cheese for my husband as he makes Mac and cheese so it takes 7 lbs. of cheese and done in a few min.

Great Device
I just used the grater to grade carrots, apples and raw potatoes. It worked great! It was quick and easy to use, and easy to clean up. This unit is well designed and made. I read all the reviews and found all of the one and two stars reviews not to be the case. The suction was good (never moved), and the handle didn't break, even with the carrots or raw potatoes, holy cow does it grade stuff fast....It's been about two months now since I bought my rotary cheese grater and I though it important to let you know that it still works great. For those of you who have had problems with the suction, please note the bottom of the suction cup and the counter top must be clean. Any kind of dirt will hamper the suction cup from working properly. The other is that if you treat it roughly it is bound to break as plastic tends to do, so I make sure I hold it firmly and turn the handle firmly without forcing it. It comes apart and cleans up nicely with hot water.

Not the worst thing.
So I really was looking forward to getting this. However it isn’t as great as I was hoping. It does grate cheese well, however it gets clogged both inside the barrel and between the barrel and the plastic. The suction does not like to actually stick to anything (not the counter or the table or anything else I’ve tried). The handle piece also randomly likes to pop off so I have to hold the button piece to keep it from releasing the handle which kind of stinks since I have to hold it down too since the suction doesn’t like to work. It is pretty easy to wash though. Also, don’t plan on using this for celery. It doesn’t work at all for celery. It works for carrots and peppers if you can hold it down and turn the handle and press the plastic piece down to keep pushing the veggies in to shreds/slice all at once though. Basically I just end up using it for grating cheese now since it is a bit of a pain to do all the things at once to make it work. It’s definitely still better than hand grating the cheese. But easier to keep chopping veggies by hand. Not the worst way I’ve ever spent 30$ though. Just wish it actually stuck to the counter or table and the handle would quit popping off too.

Great job
Purchased when discounted and was a bit concerned that it wouldn’t be as good as the more expensive similar items on offer. I had no need to worry - this item is fantastic and I am so pleased with my purchase! Easily cleaned through dishwasher. Brilliant value for money, I highly recommend!
