Maybe to dark for use driving at night.
There are a lot of negative reviews for these glasses. I believe that the ones regarding not darkening is because the user was driving. Since most windshields are UV blocking, these glasses will not significantly darken in the vehicle, but definitely get dark enough if you are in direct sunlight. I’m very pleased with them. They are stylish and light. If I had any complaint it would be that they are sonewhat darker naturally than some of the others out there, which may make them unsuitable for use while driving at night, but I haven’t tried them for this yet.

By Golly, These Things Work!
I have been on the search for these glasses for a long time. As an over-the-road driver, I like to use yellow night driving glasses for safety at night. The cheapest ones are worthless, in my opinion. Why? Because they are not usually both "blue-blocker" yellow AND polarized. I like sunglasses for day time driving, and I also have readers for seeing my electronic log screens and pre-trip app on my phone. That now gives me three different sets of glasses to juggle on my dash. When I saw these photochromic glasses advertised I was skeptical, but I took a chance and bought a pair. I've now used them for 2 1/2 months and can report the good, the bad, and the ugly.Good:They do the job adequately. True, you do have to get used to seeing with them. They do darken on those mornings when you are driving into the sunlight and revert to yellow after the sun goes down in the evening. And, that is what you want.Bad:While the polarized yellow is about right for night use, the dark glasses are really not quite dark enough. (It's one of those things you get used to). The frames are a bit cheapy...but, have held up under my use.Ugly:The aforesaid frames are not much in the looks department. So, I am quite content using these glasses as I continue my search for the Holy Grail of transitional sunglasses. What am I looking for? Prescription quality lenses with scratch coating and UV filter, yellow at night and DARK in the daylight, and polarized with bifocal readers all in sleek Ray Ban frames for about 10 bucks.

Happy with the Product, Price and Seller!
Fast shipping, well packaged and good communicationI wanted a good set of amber glasses for night driving and such. The fact they transition to shaded lenses was a bonus. Still just happy with the amber part, they work great! Well constructed, the hinges spring-flex and they transition really good. I only bought 1 pair, but liked them so much I bought more for my other vehicles and as a spare.

NOT PHOTOCHROMATIC, Gradient Yellow Polarized Photochromatic Glasses LESS THAN 0 rating
Don't waste your money! I Bought these for a friend; Sent directly to his home. I am Embarrassed, Disappointed. He didn't want to tell me these glasses were not as described. Actually I had chosen a different pair of glasses for him from Amazon and, at the same time, fearing my choice was wrong, I invited him to order 3 other pair because I know how much he loves sunglasses. My choice was correct; those were the pair he kept.He gave me back the 3 other pair to return. For me, it's difficult getting away from home as I am caretkaker 24/7 of my mom. We don't go out except for doctor appointments and so, I decided to eat the cost of the glasses & offer them up to family members. NO ONE WANTED THESE!! Showed them they were bought through AMAZON; they viewed them on Amazon, including the description. It is not true for this pair of glasses. That being said.I WORE THESE OUTSIDE MYSELF ON A SUNNY, 95 degree day, as did family members. THIS PAIR of glasses ARE A DUD. I do not recommend them. Maybe the others are fine? The person I originally gifted these to agreed; they don't work.Hello, Quality Control. I am returning them somehow.Bottom Line: The Yellow Gradient Photochromatic Sunglasses do not darken and forget the pretense of being SUNGLASSES. The tops are not dark enough. I, personally, do not like the yellow.

Good in low-light but not Photochormic and poor polariziation features.
Glasses were great in low-light conditions. I purchased these for a recent trip to Iceland and the glasses were perfect for near white-out conditions and for low-light driving. However, they are advertised as "Photochromic", they do not darken when in bright sun. I live in Florida so I actually sat them on my dash, facing the sun, and they never darkened at all. The polarized works, but barely. They send this cute little card to show you it workig and it barely shows the "fish" image on the card. Also, truely polaized lenses will black out (or reverse) images on LCD displays (like gas pumps, older LCD TV's and computer monitors)... these glasses have little effect on these indicating that they are "truely" polarized.HOWEVER, they were very comfortable and seemed to resist scratching very well (as I dropped them several times on the floor of the van we were renting.) They also did a very good job in low-light conditions and some of the snowy weather we encountered while traveling in Iceland. For the price, comfort, and the performance in low light I gave it 3 out of 5 stars. For the lack of Photochromic and minimal polarization it lost 2 stars.

these glasses do get nearly as dark as advertised!
yes they are lightweight and comfortable however...the do not get nearly as dark as the pictures suggest in the advertisement for them on Amazon...therefore I will be returning them I'm getting sick and tired of Amazon allowing these companies who provide false advertising on their site I won't tolerate it anymore and thus, they can pay the return shipping and I will try another company to see if their product is up to what they claim

Light Weight & Outdoor & Indoor
First impression: Driving glasses feels more robust than anticipated. Snugs nicely--will update review after gaining some outdoor experiences. Easy on the eyes while wearing indoors. It's about over a week or so since I write my initial review. In the past days I wore it while driving in the rain--in the gym in the evenings.
