RockJam Bluetooth, rechargeable 15 watt portable guitar amplifier

I don't normally write reviews unless the product is really good or really bad. I also like to temper all reviews with an eye towards the cost versus the quality/performance of the item. That being said, this amp is pretty remarkable considering it's made in England, shipped to the US and then retailed through Amazon with free shipping on Prime...all for around $50. First, it's very nicely finished with real wood and quality controls. For the size, the sound is very good. I especially like the second channel with reverb for guitar and don't really miss the lack of tone controls on the reverb channel since they are easily adjusted on most any electric guitar. There is more than adequate volume for practicing to backing tracks or moderate level jamming as long as you're not trying to play over a full drum kit. I have tried it with a bass and although the tone is decent, you don't get the full bottom octave like a real bass amp, but then again, that's the reason bass amps don't use a single 5" speaker. Overall, considering the low cost, high build quality, features including the second channel, built-in Blue Tooth functionality, and long battery life, I was pleasantly surprised.

This amp has a lot of power and it makes pretty true sounds. Unlike other (smaller) rechargeable amps, this one does not sound tiny or flat. It has a surprising range, including bass frequencies. I guess it pays that they put in a 15 watt speaker. I use it a lot for home practice, but I think it would also work well in a smaller public environment, such as an open mic at a cafe, or for busking on the street. I have tried other little amps in the $50 range and they are not worth the money, whereas this one is worth it (it costs $95). The battery is very good, easily 7 - 10 hours, depending on volume. I use it together with my Xvive U wireless transmitter and receiver system, so I have no cable nuisance. And, obviously, you can put pedals between the guitar and the amp, too. It handles them quite well.

Blue tooth input, mic input, aux input, guitar input...that's four inputs. I tested all these inputs and they all worked fine. For such a low price, and all these features, I was expecting to find something not working. Decent output for a bedroom amp. Very clean speaker out reproduction of the typical guitar frequency bandwidth, via the guitar or mic input. A little bit of overdrive can be obtained with proper combo adjustments of the guitar volume and master volume, but not dirty or crunchy. With a cell phone with backing apps or youtube vids, this set up is excellent for practising or quick guitar playing fix. However, I am not sure it is putting out as much sound as a 15W rms amp should. Perhaps the amp is capable of delivering 15W rms and the speaker has low efficiency? I don't know. But it certainly is loud enough for me to enjoy it.I bought this amp for $42.75. since then I have seen it go as low as $40, and as high as $56 bucks. This amp is a great value at any of those prices.

I wish this sounded as good as it looked. Nice material, easy to carry and use, but even with an acoustic guitar on low, every note buzzed and hummed... and not in a good way.

I was surprised as hell at the quality. Its all real hardwood construction and feels sturdy and has a weight to it despite how small it is. It gets loud too.Only complaint is the controls are oriented/labelled kind of strangely. This is a busking amp, so it would be expected to have it pointed away from you, at your audience. With the amp on the floor, the controls are only facing you when the amp is facing away from you, but from this angle the labeling is upside down. If the amp is on the floor facing toward you, the controls are angled away from you, but the labeling is oriented so you can read it. It's kind of annoying.

I bought this amp because I’m now teaching outside. I needed something portable that I could play my instrument through, project my voice through, and something to Bluetooth my phone through. This tiny gorgeous miracle did all three at once with excellent sound and it’s freaking cordless! It’s super lightweight; I now carry it around the house as my preferred Bluetooth speaker. The handle makes all the difference for portability. I am amazed. It’s everything! Do yourself a favour and G E T 👏🏼 I T 👏🏼

I gave this a star because the design is so nice. Solid wood! a great looking amp, and it has a nice little strap for carrying. The problem is that after one day of use, it started having so much distortion, cracking, fuzzing, etc. in the sound. I tried adjusting the bass and treble. Tried low volume, high volume. Tried adjusting the volume on my Ukulele and the bass and treble on that as well. disappointing to say the least. Amazon should just discontinue carrying this amp. It's a waste of time, money, and resources to have it shipped, returned, etc.

Sounds great for it's size. There is some compromise in only having only one 5 inch speaker element for guitar, vocals, and backing tracks, but really the audio quality is as good as you could hope for. Guitar input works fine for guitars with preamp or none. Switches and knobs are firm and high quality feel. The carry strap is faux leather and feels cheap compared to the rest of the unit. Overall I am very happy with this amp.

Muy práctico para tocar, ya sea con electroacústica o con eléctrica, en modo clean. La carga le dura bastante y es cómodo poder utilizar el cargador de tu celular. Es excelente que tenga entrada de micrófono, pero creo que el canal podría tener más volumen ya que siempre lo tengo que poner a tope. La calidad de sonido es muy buena y en interiores ha sido suficiente para un cuarto grande, pero no lo le probado en exteriores. Es suficientemente bueno como para que me esté deshaciendo de un Laney 20C, que es mucho más voluminoso y no justifico conservar los dos.

Great little amp to boost your playing. I use it for ukulele gigs outdoors to give the uke some extra distance. The amp has inputs for mic AND instrument which is unusual. Would be good for buskers too.Battery is internal and rechargeable so no taking batteries in and out. Recharges in hour or so from USB lead. Needs a 2amp charge point or charge time is much longer.Also has Bluetooth input so I can play along to backing Track on iPhone etc. Instructions are a bit sparse and have no info on Bluetooth set up, so it took a while to work it out. But the amp handles mic, guitar and Bluetooth all at the same time with a good output (15W)..I’ve had a couple of other battery amps and this is by far the best.

Ich wollte einen kleinen Amp, für unterwegs und zum üben.Positiv: das Gerät kam schnell und hat ein ansprechendes Design.Leider überwiegte das negative: das Gerät wurde ohne USB und Bedienungsanleitung geliefert.Da es einen Mini-USB hat, von dem wohl in jedem Haushalt mittlerweile unzählige ungenutzt herumliegen, dachte ich ok, kann ich verschmerzen. Falsch gedacht. der Mini-USB sitzt dermaßen locker, dass das eine vernünftiges Laden völlig unmöglich ist. Ich habe keine Ahnung, ob das Gerät überhaupt geladen hat, beim Versuch, meine Gitarre anzuschließen kam nur Gebrumme und Gepfeife.Das Gerät wurde noch am gleichen Tag zurückgeschickt. Achtung der Verkäufer gewährt eine 14 Tage Rückgabefrist. Im Verlauf der Rückgabeaktion wurden 3 verschiedene Rückgabefristen angegeben: 1 Tag, 2 Tage und nach Abschluß der Aktion waren es dann doch 3 Tage! Schade, das einige gute Rezensionen sich bei mir nicht bestätigt haben.
