At first they sent me an empty package...but they made it right. Exactly as described.

Used for five drill & tap holes and worked well.

I was using this product to drill holes by hand in steel to tap for attaching decking. Compared to a drill bit then tap this was great to use for the first 30 or so holes. It ejected shavings quickly and as overall awesome. I think the continual use just caused the fluting to give out and it broke so its only getting 4 stars because I would have expected to last longer. That said for occasional use this is a great product and honestly it was enough faster I might even buy it again.

It’d be worth the price if it only did 20-30 holes but I did about that many in 1/8” and 1/4” angle iron and it’s still cutting nicely. It’s really a quick way to get a project put together.I did pilot most of the holes with an 1/8” cobalt bit, and I use a spring loaded center punch to mark them so it doesn’t wander.

The 3 taps that I bought (1/4-20) were purchased for an 8020 extruded aluminium project. Knowing my lifelong habit of not always using tools properly, I purchased 3 taps "just in case" I broke one or two.Sure enough, I broke one after making several taps with it.Reassessing what happened, I realized I ...1. shouldn't have used an impact drill2. should have lubricated the tap3. shouldn't have tried to tap when it bound up4. should have used a standard drill5 should have taken my time and tapped SLOWLYHaven't broken the second one, and didn't have to use the third one (yet).

I have bought a few different sizes , all work very good.

Compared to the Dewalt and Greenline drill tap, these are definitely on par for quality and durability. As with any drill tap, you cannot drill thick materials, these are designed for thin steel sheet, preferably inside electrical boxes. I use mine all the time for installing din-rail into robotic control boxes.

Works well for those stupid Standard Slot screws that some jerk keeps making and selling.Another great reason for metric. The world is smart to switch.
