Where the mosquito is the state bird, these work wonders. Extremely effective. On bad nights you may still get one or two get through but I haven't had to use deet all year and it's been a very rainy year

Great quality product. We used this all summer long. The fuel cartridges lasted a good amount of hours and kept the mosquitos away. We have tried other brands and this one works the best. Good price too.

We have mosquitos in our yard this time of year. I placed it outside and received no bites in the area where I was sitting. I did notice a few knots swarming my dog who was about 3 feet away. I ended up getting three Thermacells for my patio - they're great for when we entertain or for when I take my laptop outside to get a workday in the beautiful weather. I am a mosquito magnet and my mother is too but these do a great job of protecting. I do think that the radius of protection on the packaging might be a little exaggerated (which is why I have three) but that is easy enough to resolve with an extra device.I have recommended Thermacell to several friends and they have all also had success with these!One little tip my son in law gave me for using these (he takes them hunting, which I imagine would be very buggy) - the easiest way to replace the little chemical card is to use the new card to push the old one out... Not sure why I didn't think of it myself, but I was using needle nose pliers until he showed me the trick.

I am a mosquito magnet. I can get 7 or so itchy bites in one evening, and in the worst places like right on my face. I was getting eaten alive earlier this summer at dusk in my backyard. It made me not want to go outside, which was a bummer since that's what summer evenings are supposed to be for. I tried spraying myself with DEET repellent, but that felt nasty. I have used this a few times now and have been able to relax on my patio and do light yardwork with nary a bite. I even take it with me to my folks' home now so I can enjoy their back patio too. So far so good!
