These racks look really good but when I attempted to lock one of the racks into my desired position, the nut popped off the long bolt that is critical for positioning and securing the rack. If you tighten the nut securely onto the bolt threads, then the locking lever will not engage. I was able to tighten the nut on one rack but not the other. Everything else about this rack is positive, but unfortunately it has this major issue. Now, I'm a decent handy man and was able to make mine work properly by trimming the rubber bushings with an electric ban saw (therefore making more of the bolt thread exposed) but for most homeowners this fix would be a tough challenge at best. They worked fine on my first use after my modification - not sure if my repair will hold up long term. I tried to reach out to the Chinese manufacturing company but no success. The only reason I'm not returning is because I had to have the racks 2 days after they arrived.

This was very easy to install and appeared to be sturdy however, the chief reason I chose this was the folding design. That also became a liability - the bolt giggled free (not enough excess on the pole) and became unstable within the first five miles. I am not sure if this was a one off issue because the rest appeared to be well made. I added picture of the one where the bolt stayed connected and a second of the issue I had.

I needed two but only bought one because that's all that was in stock at the time of purchase. The kayak rack came pre-assembled, I only need to attach the bottom plate when I mount it to my roof rack. The folding mechanism works just fine and will let me keep these on my car between kayak trips. Once they come back into stock it's likely I'll buy the second one I need in this brand.

This combination rack was the best one that I found in my searching! It mounts easily, it is fully collapsible, it is easy to mount kayak, canoe, and the main reason I bought it a SUP board to. Also it is the only one that I found that also has a paddle attachment to it so I dont have to store inside vehicle.

Really got a great product i cant believe how nice the material is and it even comes with a paddle Holder. I give this product 5 stars
