A Christmas Prayer (Prayers for the Seasons)

This book is really cute and has a great message. The ONLY reason I am giving it a 4 instead of a 5 is because based on the front cover, I thought the characters were black. However, they are very pale skinned when you actually open the book. I was not expecting that at all and was a little shocked. However, the book is cute and my daughter liked it so we are definitely keeping it for her library. I just wish the cover wasn't so misleading.

This book is adorable and us a good message. My oldest daughter is almost four and we enjoyed reading this together for Christmas time. I did have to remind her who everyone was the first few times but it's a good Christmas story we will add to the collection.

I will be returning this book. The idea of this book was fine... thanking God for all the people and things involved in bringing Jesus to earth so we could have a savior. However, the book just fell flat for me. The artwork was strange and unrefined. The color palate and images were pretty girly especially given she was laying out dolls etc. Plus i didn't like the repetition of "thank you God for______, your precious Christmas gift" at the end of every page when you already thanked god for that person or thing at the top of each page. Just not to my liking and will be returning.

I thought this was a cute one. I buy a new Christmas story for each of my kids every year. I thought my 4 year old daughter would like this one. She said it is a "Baby" book and will not let me read it to her. I think it is as cute as can be.

My 2 year old daughter loves the Amy Parker books.. She can't get enough of them and reads all of them nightly.

One of our favorite Christmas books! Very nicely written and great pictures. I have used this book for church activities for kids from 3 to 5th grade.

Lovely little book . Thick and padded . The sort of book anyone would enjoy reading to their little one on the lead up to Christmas . More about the true meaning of Christmas. I love the colours and illustrations .
