This Oyster Shucking set arrived quickly and was well packaged, good seller! We needed this for fresh oysters, we read that the point can go into your hand IF you're not careful, the knife will not cut you the gloves do protect from that. The tools are easy to use they definitely get the job done! I would recommend this set, it's small and easy to store, the gloves are washable and comfortable. We're back in Oyster season so this set will be used a lot more!

Amazingly high quality for the price. I shucked all my Christmas oysters without an issues. I have small hands and the gloves fit well. My friend with large hands was able to use them as well. Usually I have difficulty with one size fits all anything.

I was taking easy step to buy a set with knife and gloves so I pick this. The knife is sharp, sturdy, and ergonomic. I’m new to shucking oyster and it is very easy to use. However, the glove is nothing more than an ordinary one which seems won’t protect any accident from sharp knife. So I bought one more sturdy gloves from other seller. Even just keep only the knife, it is still a bargain given the price.

Easiest and safest shucking ever. Was able to blow through 5 dozens oysters with no struggle, no injuries. Quality materials and classy look. Perfect size and weight. Glove easy to wash with no lingering odors. 10/10

I got this and another brand because I was not sure which brand would be best to deal with these challenging, delicious oysters. This was by far the best, not only are the gloves a thoughtful - and necessary - addition, but the knives were sharper than a popular American brand and opened the oysters easily.

I was amazed at the weight of the package. Blown away by the contents at first glance. Madly in love as I held the blade in my hand. The craftsmanship is top notch! I whipped through 6 Oysters like they had been steamed, the blade found the point in the hinge and dug in; twist and pop went the muscle of that Oyster! Love the gloves! They did get a bit messy, but no injuries to my hand is the goal and they did their job! Well worth the price if you love buying fresh Oysters to shuck and consume raw! The sheath is a bit loose for the blade but that is just a minor detail... The finger guard is a joy and keeps your blade steady as you work through the hinge of a stubborn Oyster. 100% recommend as a must have in your kitchen or out at the beach!

The wood-handle means it can't go in the dishwasher. The gloves are 'wrong' don't use them, they give you a false sense of safety and they don't grip the Oyster any better. The knife's butt isn't made for the 'bang'; so the (wood) handle absorb some of the shock. I am sure in due time the wood is going to break off. Has worked well for 36 Oysters so far; but I don't believe it will make it to 144. It is ok for home use for 1-2 dozen at a time when used with care. As for the holster, just throw it out... it is made all kinds of wrong.
