Recommended by my hairdresser who uses one for professional purposes and one personally. If this hair dryer can withstand use in a hair salon AND come recommended by your hairdresser, seems to be an easy choice. It works great! Its not heavy in your hand, and dries hair w/out the frizz generally associated with a hair dryer. Works quickly, doesn't dry out your ends.

I like this blow dryer for HOME use. I intended to use it at work in the salon on clients and I did for about a month. The sound pitch of the dryer is a bit annoying for the work environment and I DO NOT like the RED light that is on constantly when drying with the warm setting. When doing hair color on the clients, and I do a lot of color, you can NOT see the hair color accurately with that RED light on. Not good for work. So I purchased another Chi Hair dryer for work and took the MHD home to use. The MHD dryer is light weight and does dry hair fairly quickly. It came with a snap on diffuser which is a great feature and this is why I initially bought it. AND just so you know, THIS blow dryer is EXACTLY the same as the JINRI Blowdryer; one is shiny black finish and one is matte black finish. They both have the RED light.I ordered them at the same time to see which I would like better. So the JINRI was returned and in the end, I am using the MHD for home use. The MHD was about $15 less than the JINRI on Amazon.This is an UPDATE: My blow dryer is still running strong without any problems after several years! I have been using it for home use. I have gotten used to the red light on high heat setting and love the fact that my thick, curly hair dries fast and frizz free. The weight of the blow dryer is fine for me. So I am updating this review to a 5 star as this has been a very dependable hair dryer.

Edit: Seller reached out. Updating rating. And I should say that my scalp is on the sensitive side so the heat level of this hair dryer might be fine for you. Especially is you have thicker hair than I do, with less of the heat ever reaching your scalp. But I would still keep it on the lowest setting to make sure not to overheat your hair itself, which can be damaging.________I found the lowest heat setting to be too hot for me. I would have to pulse that setting with the cool button every two to three seconds in order to not burn my scalp. It took forever to dry my hair that way. I liked it. It's definitely quiet, and very compact/lightweight. But I ended up going with the Centrix Q-Zone instead to avoid that issue. Disappointed.

I bought two hair dryers this mini hair dryer and another normal size one. This mini we send my duaghter as a gift andshe loves it so much. And the normal size hair dryer for my best friend too. I ordered this normal one because of the great reviews. I can honestly say it lives up to the hype. It has 2 speeds and 3 heat settings. I like that it blows cold air as well to cool down your hair from the heat. It has two attachments which allow you to get close to your hair without drying it and blows an equal amount of heat on it.Others have mentioned the weight and it is a bit heavier than normal but it's a smaller hair dryer than the one I own so it takes up less space on the vanity. The noise also s minimum so that's a plus. I wanted to try it before giving it to my friend and it did blow dry my hair faster than others I've owned and it left my hair without any frizz! Love it! Would recommend!

i use this hair dryer when we are boondocking in the RV with limited electric (using generator). This is powerful enough to dry my hair quickly IMO. (I have thick long hair). I am very happy with this product and highly recommend it! It doesn't get so hot its burning my head, but it does the job in decent time.

Update: I was using this dryer on vacation, and it shorted out on me. It generally takes me about 5-7 minutes to dry my hair. I use the high setting first, then the low setting with a round brush. I was using the low setting when it seemed to be louder than normal. Then I heard a pop, it stopped working, and I smelled something burning. I had to go out and buy a new one at the last minute during our trip (I hate hotel hair dryers).Not very happy with the fact that this only lasted a few months. I will generally get a new hair dryer about every 2 years. This one was maintained well, and I had just cleaned the lint filter prior to our trip. Changing the review to 1 star because I had to replace it and I'm out of the return window.Original review: I was looking for a lightweight hairdryer that would dry my hair quickly and (somewhat) quietly. This is definitely the one! I compared several different hair dryers here on Amazon and went into Ulta to look at some in person. I had a hard time buying a hair dryer that I couldn't hold in my hand first to feel the fit, but I'm glad I went ahead and did.This hair dryer is definitely slimmer than my previous dryer, and a lot more lightweight, which is great for traveling. It's not real quiet, but much quieter than any other hair dryer I've had in the past. I have an almost 2 year old daughter with a lot of hair, and I always dry her hair after a bath. This one is quiet enough that we can still talk to each other and not have to yell over the sound of the dryer.My only complaint is that the concentrator nozzle has a loose fit and is very easily rotated. I have to stop a few times to turn it back to a desired position and then resume drying my hair. Not that big of a deal, but my last hair dryer's concentrator nozzle didn't move once it was on.
