My 3-star rating is an averaged 1-star for the seat and 5-stars for the dog graphic. The seat itself is lightweight, cheap quality, with abominably cheap attaching hardware. Although adjustable to a limited degree, the hardware won't allow the seat to move far enough forward to align properly with the elongated toilet. The seat is of sufficient proportion to fit, but the hinge assemblies won't let it. The bumpers on the seat bottom are hard, hollow plastic, producing a loud racket in the middle of the night (sets the dogs off) if the seat slips from your fingers short of the toilet. If it weren't for the dog graphic, which is perfect, I would have returned it in a heartbeat. As-is, my choices are: live with it; look for better attaching hardware; graft the lid on to a better-quality seat; remove the lid and hang it on the bathroom wall as decor. Bottom line: the one and only reason to pay this premium price for this cheap-quality seat is the dog graphic, which is pretty much priceless.
