Great Product
I got these stands for my SONY home theater system because I did not want to make holes on my walls. Nice design and easy to install. I like that I can turn the speaker to the direction I want depending on where I am siting in my living room.

Not bad for the money
These speaker stands are nice but not quite 5 star quality in my opinion. The assortment of speaker screws that were included didn't have a pair of screws the correct size for my Yamaha speakers. Other than that they work and look good. For the price category, I would recommend.

With a little effort, you can make them work
The top complaints about these stands are that they do not support any weight, and the speaker cable does not fit. I was able to work through these two issues.Components:I used 14 guague speaker cable with two 6.1 pound bookshelf speakers.Wiring the cable:14 gauge wire does fit in these stands. If your cable connectors are on the back of your speakers, as most are, then you may have trouble slipping the plastic cover back on. I left mine off, because it won't fit. It's not a big deal; you can see about 3 inches of speaker cable. If it's not obvious, the easiest way to get the wire through is to take everything apart, push the wire through the assembly, and then reconnect the components. You won't get the cable through any other way, and I suspect this is the issue raised by another reviewer.Supporting the weight:This is where most people are finding problems. Ensure you do the following:1) You can see the telescoping upper section of the post has a bend in it. Use it. Ensure that the bend is toward the back, so that the speaker itself is sitting over the center of gravity.2) The stand has a circular weight underneath the feet. If your speaker stand will be on carpet, ensure this weight as tight as possible to the underside of the stand. This will prevent the stand from floating on the center and toppling the stand.3) Intuitively, due to aesthetic reasons, most people will want to angle the feet at 120 degrees out from forward of center, and one directly to the back of center. This is backward. As the unit wants to lean forward a bit, position one of the feet directly forward of center. This makes the biggest difference in stability.4) Since the balance problems are mostly due to a carpeted surface, and you're putting the speakers on a stand, it's highly likely that you are positioning these on the rear wall of your room. It's also likely that you have a baseboard molding on that wall. If you reverse the positioning recommended in tip #3, you may be able to wedge the rear foot between the carpet and the baseboard. If you can do this, these stands are extremely solid. After my efforts, I am 5-star pleased with the product, however, it should work as engineered, not as kluged. For that, I only award this product 3 stars.

Do not buy!!
I should have paid attention to the other negative reviews and not purchased this item. The base is heavy and sturdy but will scratch the floor if not very careful. If you have smallish kids in the house these stands would have to go in a corner to keep from getting knocked over. One of the plastic tighteners that secures the height cracked the first time I hand tightened it but not all the way which allowed me to adjust the height and use the stand. The head of one of the small screws that is used to prevent the speaker from swiveling on the stand broke without a great deal of torque. I could not have used that stand if the screw had not already been tight as there would have been no way to get the broken screw out. The speaker wire had to be pulled thru with tweezers as the wire would only go so far into the stand. Luckly close enough to the end that I could grab it with tweezers and inch it along, as mentioned in a previous critique. The verbal instructions were absolutely useless and contained misspelled words. The pictures were useless as they were very small and I could not distinguish which screw was which. I just had to figure it all out on my own which didn't take all that long but I would do something only to find I had to undue that something and do something else first. I am going to keep these stands but will purchase more expensive, better stands in the future. I have been very satisfied with all of my Amazon purchases but very dissatisfied with this product.
