Good texture to keep it from slipping out of your fingers as easily, texture also gives a good chunk sound for Metal and is a gauge that can stand up to a beating.

I’ve always loved Dunlops guitar picks, can choose from any size, the grip is amazing while playing, even after your fingers become sweaty. As well as the design it has on the back and front. One thing I noticed while using it the first time is, the paint on it came off, like pen ink on your skin when you rubbed it off it leaves a black trace where your fingered passed through. Over time it will come off obviously but it came off the first time I used it, never happened before with other picks. Overall it sounds great w an acoustic guitar.

These are the right picks for my playing style. Thin picks are unresponsive due to too much flex. I liked the Fender mediums, but as my playing improved over the years, I found the Dunlop Tortex 1mm to be best for me. They grip better than the Fender 351 & they're stiff enough for speed picking. As I gained better touch, they work great for soft strumming chords using a looser grip, or stand up to slamming power chords and everything in between. I use them on acoustic and electric guitar and when called for on bass. They seem to last forever. I buy new ones because I either lose them or others steal them. But them so I can steal yours.

I received my picks tonight, and they are a great pick. They have the sharp tip of the Jazz III picks, but the size of the Tortex picks. I have huge hands with huge fingers and found the Jazz IIIs too small. For those that want a fast attack, these picks are for you.Performance wise, I have both the 1.50mm and 1.35mm and I play anything with 6 or more strings. These picks are really hard (not as hard as the Ultex picks, but close), and the sharp edge is great for fast or tremolo picked lines. For rhythm, you can gallop as fast as you want and the picks won't "flub out" on you. I do like thinner picks for triplets but I need strength, and that's where the 1.50mm comes into its own. The only drawback is that if you aren't picking parallel to the string, these picks are so thick that the thick edge sometimes dampens the attack.Overall, it's a guitar pick. Pick (pun intended) the gauge you like best, and if you were a Tortex fan, these picks have a better attack due to their sharp point.On a different note, I'm happy ordering through Jax. My order got to my house ahead of schedule (6 days earlier than Amazon's quote), and this is a huge, HUGE plus. Order from Jax. On top of the quick service, Jax signs his receipts by hand. Something not typically found these days, and it gives a customer the impression they take some pride in their company. You can't put a price on that.

My kids still wish I would stop taking them to guitar lessons, but here we are…

Gestern sind tatsächlich 72 Plektrums angekommen. Genau wie bestellt.Am Anfang hatte ich echt Zweifel ob es sich nicht um eine Fehler handelt und es nur 12 Stück sind.Super, damit habe ich wahrscheinlich die nächsten 5 Jahre ausgesorgt.
