Big city trouble hits con-woman Diana McQueen (Daphne Zuniga) when she decides to call it quits with her relentless boss, Tom Rourke (Greg Evigan). But the only way out is to switch places with a friend who had planned on becoming a mail-order-bride to a very unsuspecting groom-to-be waiting for her on the Old West frontier.

Mail Order Bride
I really really liked this movie. I liked the characters, and I liked the content. The entire movie kept moving so I didn't get bored. The plot became evident almost immediately after getting into it. Interestingly enough, this was "not" the movie I thought I was getting, so I am really happy that I took a chance and watched it (more than once already). It was suspenseful and heartwarming at the same time. As the characters revealed themselves, I became even more interested to see what the outcome was going to be. It wasn't your typical western-type movie, and that's what made it even more intriguing. I loved the fact that you could almost sense beforehand, some of the actions that would occur, but you could not foresee all of them. That makes it a great and entertaining movie.

mail order bride
I bought the movie just because I saw that one of the horses looked just like mine when I watched part of the movie on the Hallmark Channel. When I got to watch the whole movie, I decided that it had a pretty good plot, nice, scenery, beautiful horses, and a good ending. The extras were also very interesting. I watched all of the extras. I really enjoyed the whole DVD.

Watch this feel good movie
Buddy Ebson has always been an incredible endearing actor. He doesn't disappoint us in this movie. All the actors do justice to their roles. I love this movie not because it is the best movie I've seen, but because it is sweet and touching. I'm so glad I have it in my collection!

Mail Order Bride, is just that, a movie about a man getting a wife from the mail! But sadly, he isn't getting who he sent for! This movie is full of action, from start to finish! A great western flick. I know You will love it, as much as I did! Regards!

This movie had all the makings to a good story.
This movie had all the makings to a good story...romance, drama, suspense and some mild humor. I liked all the characters, it didn't drag on too long and was perfectly paced. The views of the country weren't bad to look at either :)

Hallmark Drama
Diana McQueen (Daphne Zuniga) has been working, against her will, for Boston conman Tom Rourke (Greg Evigan) since she was 12 years old, running scams, stealing and lying.Diana's friend Jen, ill with tuberculosis, has been corresponding with Beau Canfield (Cameron Bancroft), a Wyoming Rancher she's never met, but plans to marry. When Jen dies, Diana seizes the opportunity to start her life over by stealing Rourke's money. Pretending to be Jen, she moves out west to marry Beau.As Beau battles against the local Cattleman's Association, Diana falls back on her old ways, and jumps at the chance to get enough cash to run away again. Just when Beau figures out who Diana really is, Rourke discovers where she is hiding, and the ensuing showdown turns the whole town upside-down and changes the future for all of them.I was also taken aback by the suggestive talk between Diana and Beau. They were a bit too friendly and were later in bed together - though he was not well, they seemed to be inappropriately (as they were not yet married) sharing affection there. If you plan to watch it with your children, be aware of the sometimes strong language and threat- intense western-like shooting scenes.

Good, solid movies!
My wife and I really enjoy these "Hallmark" movies; they have a great message imbedded in them and therefore are great viewing especially compared with the "stuff" on Network television these days. Don't get me wrong I'm no prude; these programs by Hallmark probably don't have huge budgets but they are certainly a lot better than some of the stuff in the theatres these days and hands down better than most commercial television, which you can't even remember what it was about the next morning.
