57" TRIPOD for CANON CAMCORDER HG10 HV10 HV20 HR10

This inexpensive tripod is a big improvement over my last one. That's a good thing. It is very light weight, the leg locks are positive, clamp-style locks that are probably the main improvement over my old friction style locks. This is a VERY lightweight tool and so is easily jostled. That's my only complaint thus far. There is a plastic hook at the bottom of the central stem of the tripod. I can easily add some weight to that hook that should stabilize the camera, but that counteracts the lightness of the tool. Extra goodies on this tripod include two level indicators that were a pleasant find. By not tightening the various clamps too tightly, one can dampen the movements to tilt or pan and make them smoother and easier on the eyes. Good little tool for the few bucks spent.

Some of the reviews I read talked about it's being a good "first" tripod. I agree, even though it's the only one I've ever owned. Setting it up is easy, and if you leave it in one position, it's great. BUT, if you try to track someone and make minor adjustments, it's very jerky. Maybe I'm not doing it right, but that's the way it seems to me. But for the price, it is unbeatable.

I bought this tripod for a Canon VIXIA HV30 after doing some research. It is model TR-60N. It is made of plastic, very lightweight. It has a bubble level to make sure the tripod is stable and level and it comes with a nylon carrying case. I was expecting it to be something of inferior quality for the price. I don't think I would want to try using it as a tackling dummy, but for a tripod, it's great and will handle my needs.It says it is made for Canon, but it will likely fit any camcorder.For the price you really can't go wrong on this one. I got very fast shipping on this, too. I am satisfied with this and feel I got a really good deal.

Was very suprised by the quality of this tripod. Cant beat the price. Perfect height for the shoots we are doing. Collapses down very small. Only (small) complaint is the plastic swivel mechanism, makes it a little bit of a challenge to do smooth left/right up/down panning, but a little WD40 helped. Would definitely buy again, very happy with it.

I can hardly believe I got this for less than $20. I didn't get it to use everyday, so I wasn't expecting a heavy duty product. I'm very pleased with the ease of use and its light-weight portable abilities.

I'm new to the video world and didn't think much about tripods. But when I did, I hoped I'd get a good. And I didn't. I got a GREAT one. This one rocks. No lie...
