I bought them to replace some old wooden handled dull knives I had for years since I was hosting Thanksgiving dinner this year. I didn't want to spend a fortune as I am too lazy to hand wash knives, so if they get ruined in the dishwasher I can replace them without worrying about how much I paid. The knives are super sharp as I have cut myself on them more than once-my fault. They are comfortable to use and cut through everything really well. My only complaint is that the handles are a bit larger than I expected and therefore they take up quite a bit of room in my utensil organizer.
