Great picture quality, poor Apps
Great picture quality, but the Apps are not great. We recently got rid of our Sony Bravia, because the screen went out and purchased a Samsung because it is considerably less expensive and the picture quality is supposed to be just as good. What is not as good are the Apps. The Apps on the Samsung are not very good. The YouTube app constantly crashes. This TV also does not work well with Chromecast. Sometimes it works perfectly, but half the time it freezes or crashes. The Netflix app works fine. If you connect to a media server often, this may not be the TV for you. It works better than Vizio, but not as good as the Sony app. The media server interface is clunky and outdated. The Sony remote had a button to go straight to Netflix, or the media server. The Samsung remote takes about 10 button presses to get to the media server, which is a big pain in the rear. I would buy the Sony again, before the Samsung, if I had thousands of extra dollars to throw around. Alas, I do not.
