For those occasional hot days and to provide better ventilation for some craft projects I decided that a little fan would be a great idea. This one being clip mountable and cheap fit the bill (plus, I like the aesthetic of the black and red). I wasn't expecting much, maybe a slight improvement over those open bladed handheld fans that you had to keep away from your hair, but this little thing has a surprising amount of oomph even on its lowest setting.The air is directed in a fairly small area but it's a small fan and the flexibility of the rotation means you can generally get it to point exactly where you want it to point. The noise, even on the highest setting, is really not that loud at all. More like someone using a hairdryer in the next room with the door open than anything else.The clip is very strong but the counterpoint to that is that it's also very stiff. It grips things fantastically and you can basically hang it off anything but if you have small or weak hands, getting it open to clip it on to something can be a bit of a battle. Upside to that, I suppose, is that if you have kids, they're probably not going to be able to get it off wherever you've put it.

I bought a few of these to keep dogs cool in the back of the car (along with the air con) and it has been beneficial with hotter weather we have had recently. I clip them on to the handle above the windows in the back, either using one on its own or one at each side if needed. The dogs don’t bother that the fans are there. The fans are not too noisy in the car. They are lightweight, easy to use and flexible if you want to direct the fan in a specific way. I had kept an older Iphone plug so have been using that to charge them up (it can take up to 2-3 hours). Once charged they do stay in for a long time even at the highest speed. Was impressed how robust they were.

Great points:- Safe for kids- I was worried of little fingers trying to get in the cage- it was completely safe and my little ones fingers couldn’t get near. I was also worried about their hair getting caught (obviously it should never be near); again never had a problem with this and they have quite long hair.- charge, it’s hard to know when it’s fully charged as there is not an indicator, so we usually would leave it plugged in via usb for a couple hours. It would last in the heat uncharged for about 3 hours max and that was with it being used on and off the full blast option. When it’s plugged in and clipped on a desk it’s great as never losses charge.- it has 3 speed settings, you click the button on the back to move it through each speed, the amount of times we pressed it as we weren’t sure if it was on speed 2/3 probably didn’t help the battery life.- durable, it was thrown in and out of the stroller and backpack frequently and still looks new.- strength of clip, clipped it on the fabric part of stroller and worked great. Clipped it on the metal part again fab. I was worried about it being floppy or not able to position it as needed but it worked great and you can feel the air on you too, it doesn’t need to be super close. You can also tilt its position and it will stay in the place you tilt it.Negative parts--felt like the charge didn’t last as long as we would have liked- but like I say we may have contributed to this and I’d assume if you had it on the slower modes it would last longer.We also bought a battery operated mist fan and that did last longer and was cheaper (although no cage on these ones). If I had to purchase again I’d probably buy more of the battery operated versions.

In a quiet room I would understand that this might be the cause for some people to have an issue with. I personally use it as a cooling aid when playing on stage as I get overly hot. Also planning to use it when working in Spain during July so love that I can charge from the laptop at same time.Quality of build is excellent, charge times reasonable too - the selling point is the fan settings, 3 speeds the quickest packs a punch for such a small unit.Worth the money, recommended

We purchased this fan to keep the dog cool on a long car journey during hot weather, the fan did everything we needed and was betetr than expected.There are 3 speeds, 1 speed is pretty inneffective but would be good in close proximity, 2 and 3 are great and very effective without being too loud.The tilting off the fan allowed us to clip it in the car and angle it in the best position to do it's job.The USB charging was great, we had it plugged in to the car charger while running, when the external power was off we still got several hours out of it even at the highest speed.Great item, highly recommended.

I absolutely love this! Got on Tuesday so I have given it two nights to try before a review. I have to sleep with a fan blowing on my face, even on the coldest of nights, have done for years and literally won't sleep if not. Over the years ive had to request fans on holiday, hotels and my parents etc. I have a stand alone fan next to my bed which is great, but even on its lowest setting it is still powerful to the point my partner is always freezing. So, I needed to look at smaller options. I come across this on amazon and read reviews and thought id give it a try. THE BEST £12 I'VE EVER SPENT! It is fabulous!It has a clip as pictured so I clipped it to the draw of my bedside unit, the outer of the fan turns 360 so you can get the perfect position and the inner bit (the actual fan) also turns. So once in position (very easy) i turned on, I popped it on the lowest setting and that is enough, its a nice gentle breeze of cold air blowing. The best thing is, as its a little lower clipped on the bed side unit rather than the tall stand alone fan, my partners head is not freezing anymore as it hits me directly and doesn't even touch him. I turned it on around 11pm last night and it was still on when I woke at 7.30, this was after a three hour charge via the USB so its great battery life too! So happy with it as you can tell, ill be taking it everywhere with me including abroad next year. I'm going to get another too just incase the worst happens and I left this anywhere. Highly highly recommended.
