Bang for the buck
If it doesn't break, I love it! This is actually for the "little (Korean) wife". First, it's pretty simple to use; she needs that. Second, it will play (as far as I know so far) any kind of optical disk. Good! Third (and this does it for me!) is that USB port. I hand her a USB drive that I loaded up in (my) computer room and she's got movies, music, whatever! So far, I've run across one codec that the codec pac (on the computer) supported and the BP255 wouldn't. It politely tells you "Format not supported". Then it has HDMI and all the different supported video resolutions. It's all a question of when it breaks, I guess. If it doesn't break, it's so versatile, I haven't even gotten unlazy enough to ethernet it (probably a cable unplugged somewhere that I forgot about); it politely tells you "No Ethernet Connection". It's just so versatile without even being connected! What could anyone possibly want for 60 bucks??? I actually didn't want wireless (we've got 2.4 and 5.0, on a router and an extender, but I prefer ethernet in the first place. I've got gigabit everywhere nowadays. I'm glad it didn't have wireless, bringing the price down. As for all those services, I couldn't care less. As far as I'm concerned this is it if you want what's useful and don't care about the silly frills. I've had a lot of luck with LG over recent years - that and the fact that it has the USB, so one doesn't have to keep wearing out the mechanics of the player make me optimistic! I'm thinking it'll be good for some time! It has a power adapter, by the way - NOT a built in power supply.

Great, but no audio on Bose soundbar
The DVD player is great. Works as expected on our other TV, but audio does not come through our Bose soundbar on the TV the DVD player was intended for. I tried every configuration I could think of and every configuration that I could find online, and the audio just would not work through my soundbar. That's a little disappointing, but as far as the player itself, it's good, and good and timely, well packaged shipment.

Stay Away!
for the first month it worked fine, then random freeze-ups during Netflix binges started happening more and more often. now it won't open any streaming media without freezing up nor will it play movies that i have stored on a storage drive. DON'T BUY!!!!

Great price, great quality
A great Blu-Ray player at a great price! I have a Magnavox TV and setup was quick and easy. No complaints yet. I've only had it a few weeks, but I'm thoroughly pleased!

Good basic Blu-ray player
Good Blu-ray player. Fast loading and quiet. Good price.

Dissapointing
This player is very disappointing. The remote control doesn't have extra buttons for Netflix, subtitles or other control features. It will still do everything, but you have to poke around in the menus. The home screen has categories that you have to select- it doesn't default to video services. The whole setup reminds me of how these things operated when Blu-rays first came out. Very disappointing, especially at this price. I wouldn't buy it again.

SUPER COOL, BUT BUGGY...
this thing has a ethernet port in the back so i plugged it into my router and now i have amazon prime, netflix and hulu etc. also pandora. my TV is now a smart TV. *UPDATE* 6.22.2015: i have been using it for awhile now and something is happening that is very annoying. it won't turn off all the time, sometimes it will and sometimes it won't. if i use the remote or the power button it just doesn't want to shut down. THE LITTLE GREEN LIGHT ON THE FRONT JUST FLASHES WHEN YOU TRY. at first i thought it was because a movie was paused or it was in the middle of doing something but that is not the case. then it became unresponsive at times, so i thought it was due for a software update from the internet and it WAS. so it updated the firmware that it said it needed and that took about 5 minutes and automatically shutdown and rebooted. but still no dice. so i made sure the next time i watched a movie i stopped the movie and did the routine in the right order. no dice, it won't shut off. i have to unplg the power supply manually. i'm not sure if it is because i am watching a movie from an external seagate hard drive or what is going on, or maybe another firmware update is coming. strange, so i am knocking it down to 3 stars. sorry LG.

Works as expected
Blueray player works as expected. Have had no problems with it. I don't use the network or the other options on the unit so I can't rate that part. Except I did do a software update which went smoothly and had no problems.
