Good product, incomplete measurement instructions
This is a good product with poor measurement instructions. Step 2 is not included with the product instructions. It is necessary to measure the ankle circumference around the top of the ankle and under the heel. Please see the picture of the instructions on the package. My first order was too small and had to be returned. I like the wap.

Works well the quality isn’t what it used to be.
Very comfortable and ankle feels better during and after wearing. I used these before cell phones existed and bought them at the drugstore. I swore by them. But this new one isn’t as thick. And the first time I pulled it on my foot, the stitching began to tear. I would buy the next smaller size, medium. The large is a little big, but I’m afraid a medium would tear immediately when I put it on.

Won't stretch to get on your foot.
Before ordering this product, I used the chart and "measured the smallest part of the ankle". It was 8 inches, ordered a medium, received the brace, looked OK, and then I tried to put it on. The opening to fit your foot into is only 3 inches wide, and it only stretches out to 4.5 inches and then the material just stops stretching, and then starts creaking like the seam is going to tear. A human foot is usually wider at the toes than at the "smallest part of the ankle"... If the brace was just magically on my foot, it looks like it would fit fine. But how is someone supposed to get it on when the holes aren't large enough for a human sized foot to fit into.... I don't see how this brace would work for anyone unless they can fold the end of their foot in half and squeeze it through. It looks like this brace is unusable. I wish I could go back in time and tell myself to just drive down to the store and buy one. 1 star review, good grief. I have other ankle braces (different brand, purchased at a pharmacy), same dimensions, but their material actually stretches enough to pull onto your foot.

Stuff isn't made like it used to be
I still have one of these Champion ankle supports that I have worn off and on for over 30 years It still has some stretch but the elastic is all frayed so I thought I would get a new one. Well they don't make things like they used to. The elastic is not as thick as my old one and it's all ready stretched out and doesn't offer much support after just a few months. I am rather disappointed to say the least.

unexpectedly comfortable with substantial support
Although this device is sold as an ankle support, I purchased it to help a plantar fasciitus injury heal. It covers the same area with the same amount of compression as I was getting with an Ace bandage but with far less effort and greater comfort than with the bandage. The seams are exceptionally well made, with almost no lump when they are worn. I did not feel them even with tightly laced running or hiking shoes. The fit on me is tight, as it needs to be to perform its function. Initially I thought it would rip apart after a dozen or so uses, as it needs to be pulled hard to get it on and off. After putting it on and off about two dozen times it is just now starting to rip at the seams. I'm so satisfied with how well this support works that I don't mind having to replace it every so often. Other brands that I tried were easier to take on and off but didn't work well.

Tolerable, but inferior to the old Futuro ones
Updated with the photos - these are after ~7 weeks of wearing this ankle brace at night, ONLY to sleep in, not while doing any activity. As you can see it is already disintegrating. Champion should be embarrassed to have their name on these braces. My years-old Futuro one is stretched out, but in much better shape than this one is after less than 2 months. I've been wearing ankle braces on and off for decades because of a genetic condition. My frequent use braces just need to add some stability, not be majorly restrictive. My go-to has always been the figure 8 Futuro ankle braces, but they have stopped making those in recent years. I was hoping this brace would be like those were, having the Champion brand attached to it. Sadly, it isn't. The fabric/ elastic is much thinner and flimsier than the Futuro ones were and the elasticity isn't as great. And some of the stitching is rough to the point that I had to pad under it when I first wore the brace. That said, it does do what I need it to do. I doubt it will last me the years that the Futuro braces lasted me.

These are excellent for occasional ankle support which fit comfortably underneath socks. This is the second pair I've had with the only difficulty being identifying the correct size, as this is not clear on Amazon. The first pair were a little small, though have eased with time and washing. They do take a while to arrive but are worth the wait for having streamlined ankle support rather than the bulky whistles and bells straps that are the around.

Unfortunately I followed the instructions to measure for fit and based on previous reviews I ordered a size below (smaller) then what it said I should order. When it arrived it was much too big to have any effect. The product looks well made, just their sizing is way off. I rated as a 5 because of improper fitting instructions.
