Too small
I ordered size 42 short for my husband. He normally wears a size 34. I ordered a larger size because the description indicated it runs small. However the 42 didn’t fit him. I kept it for myself and I wear size 8-10 petite in women’s size

Classic Coverall - Needs an update in the fit?
I needed a coverall for tackling yard work. Walls are classic and durable. I agree, size up two sizes -constructed of 100% heavyweight cotton - allow for some shrinkage. The handsome tailored fit doesn't leave much room for other clothing. That being said, I have a long torso so it is challenging getting in/out (I purchased my actual sizing ). I will reorder in two sizes up to see if that will compensate. I would also suggest if you are sizing for short - select "Regular" so it will allow for more ease in the fit - the length shrinks a bit after first wash. Otherwise, the details - pockets, hardware, and elasticized back waist, and back expansion pleats make this a great looking utilitarian garment.

Superior Work Wear
The coveralls are really nice. I'm 5'9" tall and weigh 168 pounds, 32 waist, 30 inseam and the 40 Regular fit me great, just slightly long but they may shrink since they're 100% cotton. Enough room to move and wear a layer underneath of them. Love the zip back pocket so I wont lose my wallet and the sleeve pen pocket is great! A two way zipper for bathroom breaks in the front is a nicely thought out feature as well. I had thought of the Dickies brand but for an extra 3.00 at the time I purchased these Walls, well worth it. I have insulated Walls Coveralls also and a Walls jacket and they've been great products also. Keep in mind sizing is not waist but chest size and you should be fine. I have a 38 1/2 inch chest so the 40 were spot on to allow a little room. A great value and highly recommended. If they hold up like my other Walls products I'll change them to five star!

Very pleased with these coveralls.
Before I purchased this coverall for myself, I read the reviews and saw that the sizes ran a bit small. My purchase of the size 38 short was based on someone else's purchase who was of similar height and weight. I am a 5'4" 126 pound female and the 38 short fit me perfectly before and after washing in cold water and drying on the cotton setting. The main reason for purchasing this brand, however, was the many comments about the sturdy material and workmanship of the coveralls and certain features like the zippered pockets that keep important things like my cell phone and notepad from falling out while I work. Although the fit is a bit too snug to wear over jeans and T-shirt, the weight of the material would make layering too hot while I was working anyway. Get a size or two larger if you need to wear something underneath. The sizing difficulty was the only reason I rated this product with 4 stars instead of 5. Reviewers' comments were invaluable in buying the right size, particularly since these are made for men.

Halloween Khaki Suit
I bought these coveralls with the intent to use them as a Halloween Costume in 2010... adding to it with each subsequent year. The other reviews here were quite helpful. It does fit a bit snug and I had felt I ordered it on the large size. As another reviewer had indicated, research sizing charts and know your chest size. If it is possible, you may also like to browse a local shop, just to understand what size you should order. There are some seams near the elbow that have rubbed me the wrong way but that may have had something to do with some tight-fitting elbow-pads more than the design of this uniform. It is a little warm to wear indoors at work, but not always warm enough for outdoor trick-or-treating. Overall, I am very satisfied. It "suited" the look I was going for. I do not think I could have made a better deal for the price I paid.

Fits Perfectly, Very Comfortable
I was very pleasantly surprised by these coveralls! I'm 5'6 125 lbs, and the 34 R fits great / is super comfortable. I definitely plan to order more colors. My only complaint (and I'm hoping there's a good explanation for this), is that different sizes cost more money than others. At first I thought I was buying $27 coveralls, but when I changed it to a smaller size, it jumped up to $44. That doesn't seem fair.

Was way too small for me so I gave them to my mom for painting.
The quality appeared to be great but they were just way too small, the crotch came up way too high for me.

Orange is the new black
These were very well made and a bargain at the price. Unfortunately, I had to return them as the T was not T enough for me. (I'm 6'8 and the crotch to shoulder length was too short-I gave myself a serious wedgie :-) ). But, if these fit your body, you will appreciate the build quality and the price. I ended up going with a Dickies XT-fit perfectly.

Sizing chart isn't that clear about what 'small' means.
When it says 'small' it is referring to the length of the legs which is unclear in the sizing chart. So small has less leg length, and is still as advertised for chest size.
