Excellent Quality.
This item make your outdoor work more handy. I place a 120 Feet garden hose in it and it really function well. A heavy duty item to carry a heavy duty garden hose. I recommend this item if you're buying to protect your Garden Hose.

Good quality for the price!
The hose reel was surprisingly well made considering the price. It was easy to assemble in 15-20 mins. The overall quality was spot on. The only complaint, I wish the hose reel was offered in different colors, maybe a forest green? to blend into my landscaping a bit better. I would recommend and purchase again.

better than the plastic hardware store models...
I was getting tired of fighting with the two plastic hose reels I've used for years. These hose reels are a step up in ease of operation. Good sized crank handle, and the reel is a decent size. After reading some reviews I can address a few problems other have had.First, the crank handle screws onto the reel shaft. This means when you first install the hose be sure to wind the hose in the direction that TIGHTENS the crank!!! If the handle is unscrewing when you wind in the hose you have it wound backwards!!!! Too oblivious, but some folks missed it.Second... for those who managed to mangle the hose going to the faucet, read the directions. The swivel will be stiff until the O'rings are broken in. Add a few drops of oil if needed, or support the connecting hose when reeling.Assembly was easy as pie. I was able to figure it out from the photos. Unit was well packed, and no items were missing. The manual warns about the poor paint job from the factory. To be safe, I ordered a few cans of tan Rustoleum spray from Amazon and I plan to give the frame a few additional coats of paint, with extra attention paid to lower axle support welds. It is rather sad that an owner has to do this on new units, but at least the factory advises the owners in advance to clear spray the product. I chose to overspray with paint. The cart is fairly stable and I like the side reel feature when keeps the buggy steady when reeling in or pulling out hose. The frame could be a bit sturdier. I do not consider this to be commercial grade, but it is a decent home owner level product. I'd strongly suggest keeping it garaged when possible, especially over winter months. The hose swivel allows for the hoses to be easily disconnected to ensure the metal parts are fully drained for storage during freezes. I've had a few plastic reels destroyed by freezes because removing the hoses was a very difficult task.I can't comment on the tire problems other have faced, but hopefully replacement inner tubes are cheap if needed....I bought two of these, one for the front yard and one for the back yard. They aren't exactly lawn art, being more functional than artistic... they are fairly large units. I have about 150 feet of 5/8" hose on each cart. I'd suggest winding a new hose on a hot day to ensure the hose is pliable, my hoses were a bit stiff when purchased.

4th summer and still going strong! - 8 YEAR UPDATE
I purchased this hose real in the spring of 2014. I have 3 - 5/8" x 100' heavy duty hose lengths on the reel. Once filled with water, it's a lot of weight and this thing moves it vey easily. I'm in Wisconsin so I drain the hoses and store it indoors from November to March but it has really held up well. Have I had a few problems? Yes. One of the tires went flat last summer so I replaced that. The leader hose also ended up springing a leak this year but it was due to the way I was bending it when pulling away from the house. And it took 3 1/2 seasons of abuse before that happened. I water flowers throughout the yard EVERY DAY. Also, is there some rust? YES! It's a hose reel. It sits outside in the elements and gets wet. It's going to rust. Unless it's the centerpiece of your landscape I don't think a few small specks of rust, or rusty bolts on the wheel hubs are that big of a deal. It still functions perfectly fine. In fact, more than that. It functions perfectly. It doesn't tip over when winding/unwinding the hose, it rolls very easily with lots of weight and it winds/unwinds almost effortlessly. What more could you ask for? Why does your hose reel need to sparkle? I see comments about people putting clear coat and taking other action to keep it from rusting. Why don't you get your buffer out once a month and wax it like a car. That might help! But if you don't care about the appearance of your hose reel, this is the unit for you! Even if you do care about the appearance of your hose reel, the entire thing isn't a pile of rust. There's a few small spots here and there and some of the hardware has rusted over. It's really not a big deal. Don't let that discourage you from this unit.4/27/2022 UPDATE: Still going strong! No changes to my above comments. We've moved houses so it's at a new location but working just as good as ever.
