Louisa May Alcott's Little Women: A Paper Doll Collectible (Dover Paper Dolls) Paperback – Illustrated, October 16, 2019

My granddaughter has just discovered the joys of Little Women! So I snapped up this paper doll set and spent a few hours cutting the dolls and clothes out. The dolls are sturdy and lovely. The clothes are marked with each doll's initials (there's even clothes for Laurie) so nothing get mixed up. I think that we both enjoy playing with the dolls equally! It's a nice set, but it does take a while to cut out. My granddaughter is just turning seven, so I did all the cutting with my very sharp crafts scissors.I thought this set was money well spent.

When I was a girl I used to play with my mom’s paper dolls from the 60s. These remind me so much of those except a little sturdier paper which is nice. The little tabs won’t break off as easily. NOTE: prepare to spend a couple hours cutting these out!! It is tedious and time consuming!!! But worth it. My 7 year old loves these so much. Non screen time cheap fun.

I felt a bit nostalgic buying these as we have 5 sisters in our family. We're up in age now, but I thought tucking this in the birthday bags would bring a smile to my sisters' faces at our birthday lunch.

Fun paper dolls and the artist did a good job of capturing the essence of the Little Women stories in her choice of outfits for the dolls. Like other paper doll books by the same artist, the outside cover can be separated from the book and used as a background scene for the dolls. The image is of their living room with a nice warm fire going.Unfortunately, the book came a little bit bent so that was a bit disappointing. Since this book only came out recently, the condition of the book isn’t because it’s old, it must be how Amazon is storing them in the warehouse. Not bad enough to return them though, I’ll just try to flatten things out with some heavy books.

These are so cute and include Marmie and Laurie as well as the four sisters. They have a lot of outfits- it’s a lot to cut out. I cut them all for my niece and it took me FOREVER. The cover was a living room scene which is nice. It would be cool to have a background for each scene. Also, the outfits are also card stock which is heavy and tips the dolls over.

Eileen Rudisill Miller is a wonderful paper doll artist; her dolls and costumes are gorgeous, and the clothes fit the dolls perfectly. This is a beautiful set! Do note, however, that if you're thinking of buying these for a child, make sure the child is older and good with scissors; these are cut-out paper dolls. Truthfully, most of the good paper doll books these days are cut-out, so this is not a disadvantage in my eyes. Looking forward to Miller's next book!

I love these paper dolls. Maybe my 9 year old granddaughter is too old for them? She wasn't interested.
