UPDATED EDIT!!! I highly recommend reading THIS review before purchase. Then just shop elsewhere.
UPDATED EDIT: I spoke too soon with my first review after confirming function -At this point I cannot recommend this product *at all*. It is advertised as rated for 20A. I noticed the unit stopped working consistently, and it would cut itself off. Then at times it would not work for a while, but if I came back to it 5 minutes later, it would again work for a little bit before cutting itself off again during operation. (Momentary operation selected). I contacted the Progressive Automations tech line and they could not help me over the phone. They asked me to send a video of the unit operating so they could try to recreate the issue. That was over a week ago. (I uploaded the videos to a google drive account and provided them access in an email.) In the videos I showed the results of my amp meter during operations so they could see the low amps I am pulling.I still have not heard a response. When I tested my amp draw it was less than 6A continuous draw after an initial 12A spike when activating the two linear actuators I'm controlling. Well under the specs. Over the phone the employee told me that the company has learned that the wiring harness they ship with the unit is *NOT* rated for 20A. I clarified this point because I thought I misunderstood, but I was advised that they are telling customers to supply their own harness if the load is over 20A. That will be difficult since the unit requires their plug to connect wires to the unit. It is also still being advertised as a 20A unit. (?!) That's pretty poor business practice in my opinion. I would like a refund on the unit, but I'm well passed the return date. I'll reach out through Amazon and see if they'll at least do that. After shopping through Amazon in more detail, I see that all other 12 VDC remote controllers, even two channel ones, are being sold for less than $29.--. I suspect that the R&D on this device was minimal, and they marked up the price $100 over the average price for such units. It is absolutely NOT worth $1201I initially thought to pay that since I needed a "robust" unit that wouldn't easily fail, supplied by the same company as the actuators. My hope was to ensure compatibility. I had even contacted them ahead of time to confirm this would work with my two large 2000lb. capacity actuators prior to purchase and they said it would.I cannot wait for them to reply any longer, because I need to move on with my project and they may not ever respond. I've decided to purchase a $25- unit that takes spade connectors instead of a specific wiring harness. This competitor's unit has over 1K reviews and a 4.5+ star rating, and is rated for 40A. Much better than this unit! I think I made a mistake with PA's unit and I encourage you to find another solution. If I hear back, I'll update again, and I'll advise if they were willing to provide a refund.Last Update 5/16/2023: Still no reply from Progressive. I've clearly fell off their radar but I'm not willing to waste more time on the phone with this company. I managed to unpin the plug from the 18 AWG wiring harness supplied and installed 16 AWG wire. (Based on them saying I needed to supply my own harness to get 20A function as advertised in the advertisement. Clearly the QA is lacking on these controllers. All their various designs seem to have issues based on other reviews. No improvement in functionality, not that I expected any. At this point I'm considering the unit a write-off and I'm uninstalling it and calling them one last time for a refund. We'll see how that goes.

Works well
This product works great. I am using the controller to drive a 6 inch stroke actuator to raise a roof on a dune buggy. There is one thing to keep in mind when installing it, which is that the limit switches inside an actuator will not cancel the last operation, keeping the direction (up/dn) relay engaged unless the operator pushes the same direction button at the end of the stroke to cancel the signal (Like one would do to stop the movement). The reason this is important is that it keeps a relay in the controller powered and will eventually drain a vehicle battery. Not a big deal. I just put an off switch in the power circuit which cancels any powered relay.

Started Smoking
As soon as I plugged this in, it started the actuator for a couple of seconds, then started smoking. I immediately pulled the wire connector out. 2 of the pins had shorted and melted together.
