I have a few of the original gold ones but they require an alanwreanch and if not tight enough can be backed out and removed. The new stile here is a pin that pops up with the key. Out of all the locks on the market I put my money on these. Others have a bar that can be cut. These will require much more time to get off with out the key. Any lock is not fool proof but these will not be as easy to remove. Got new and old ones of these locks on all my trailers and will not use anything else. Received another one and the locking mechanism works but the pin that locks into the tongue should screw in instead of the key lock. Might be a bit tighter. If someone wants to take your stuff bad enough they will find a way but something like this will at least not make it as easy as just hooking up and driving away. I just wanted to note that the lock doesn't look exactly as pictured. It is black with grey speckle. I'm still happy with the coupler lock though. Fits secure without moving around very much on my 2" coupler.
