it needs a specific box measuremens to sound good. But even though
Very loud little speaker for it's size, it needs a specific box measuremens to sound good. But even though, sound is not for quality. Ok sounding only unlike the hivi. Good for beginners

Totally decent sound for a great price.
Bought the 3" speakers to build some desktop computer speakers with. I built little sealed cabs based solely on the dimensions of available space on my desk, rather than acoustic principles, and these sound great! I tend to prefer the way they sound with a bit of a smile on the EQ, but I do that on most speakers. It's actually made working at my desk a much more pleasurable experience. Sometimes I can even trick myself into working by pretending I'm just going to listen to music at my desk. Whereas the built in laptop speakers can only reproduce music well enough to remind me that I like a song, these speakers are good enough to hold me when a good song comes on. I'm not saying that these are the greatest speakers ever. They wither against my Mirages and B&Ws, as they should, but at this price they're just an incredible value.

Small speaker, Big sound.
Solid little speaker with really clear high and mid range notes. I was impressed with the construction, decent rubber surround, it does have a paper cone(I prefer poly) but it doesn't take anything away from the quality. These speakers sound best in a sealed enclosure with good back pressure to showcase the full sound these provide. They are stable and do not distort with 10w RMS turned all the way up.

These were purchased to replace a blown woofer on a set of Klipsch Promedia speakers, along with the DROK 30W per channel mini amp. Installation was a bit tricky as the holes were more narrowly spaced than the posts on the Promedias, I needed to bend them slightly to make them fit. I hooked them up, newly repaired, into the amp and played some Breaking Benjamin. They sounded a bit clearer and richer than a second pair of stock Promedias I have. Next I tried putting on some Massive Attach and Cascada to test bass. All I can say is WOW! These suckers can pound. It's not just bass you can hear, but cranked up I could feel it in my chest! This is also a credit to how powerful the amplifier is, I have no doubt the 30w figure is accurate. Very impressed with these speakers.

Great speakers!
Purchased these for my MAME/bartop arcade machine. They are very beefy and solid for 3" speakers. They sound great and have been performing well. Paired with a small 2x15 watt amp.

Better than perfect replacement for the Monoprice 10565 satellite drivers
Literally just installed this so I cannot speak for its longevity.I purchased this as a replacement for a blown satellite driver in the popular Monoprice 10565 Premium 5.1 Channel Home Theater System. The speaker was nearly identical in size, just a smidge smaller at the edges, maybe a mm.As for the sound reproduction, the output level is nearly identical to my ear with the Drok producing a warmer sound than the original Monoprice speaker. In fact, upon listening to them side by side, the Monoprice speaker sounded a bit tinny in comparison.Overall, unless you're a pro audiophile (in which case you wouldn't even be using a monoproce system or $15 speaker) you're not going to be able to tell the difference.

DROK rearranged is DORK
Bought this speaker for a science project. The cone displaces in and out when you apply power to the terminals.
