Michael Drake is a blessing for all who wish to understand more about traveling on the drum and the spiritual practice it can lead to.

A precious addition to Shamanism

This is the second book by Michael Drake about Shamanic Drumming. And some of the contents - for example the principal structure of a Shamanic journey or the impact of drumming on body and mind - are also contained in his earlier book. But this one gives also insights into Drake's personal career as a drummer, how to relate to helping spirits, how to build up sacred space or to initiate your drum. You can feel that the author has experience and is dedicated to the spiritual path.
