Sole-Guard Mini-Check Rubber Soling Sheet - Black

Exactly what I thought it would be. Cut to fit and a little contact cement and my slick leather bottoms are no more. I only wish there was a pattern with some lines and grooves for added slip resistance. People that complain about this product, obviously had no clue what they were looking at or how to use it. If you know what you're doing, this product has no flaws.

I bought this product to apply to leather soled women's dress shoes that were much too slippery on surfaces like tile, polished wood floors, etc. To cut this product, first I traced the shoe sole on paper, then cut the tracing out of the paper. Then I put the paper cut-out onto the rubber sheet, and traced the outline with chalk. Then using an old plastic kitchen cutting board, I used an exacto knife (i.e., a box cutter type) to cut along the chalk line. After that, I removed just a few very narrow pieces from each side of the rubber cutting for a perfect fit. Applied the rubber cutting with ShooGoo, also purchased at Amazon, with excellent adhesion. I have been wearing these shoes with the SoleTech mini-check surface for about 2 years now, and these shoes have excellent traction on any surface. The heels (being women's dress shoes) are showing some wear, so I might have to replace them in a year or so. But the front sole of the shoe still looks as good as it did when I first applied it. I am very satisfied with this product. It is very high quality and durable material. Even my dad asked me where I got this material, and, could he have some. Just be sure to have a good sharp tool to cut it, as well as a work surface that will endure sharp knife cutting.

Lasted about 10 months before it had to be replaced. Not as durable as Tiger Paw brand.

Product as stated but the tread is really small so not good for shoes that do a lot of walking or running.

It took a while to get to me, not sure if it wasn't shipped timely or USPS, but it finally arrived. I think USPS was responsible.Product is what I wanted although I wish it was even lighter weight than it is. No matter. It will work.

They are fine

I love this product! I am a costumer, and I make shoecovers/bootcovers for many of my costumes. After making my cover out of fabric, I glue this onto the bottom. It works really well, and makes the covers just like a real pair of shoes!
