UD Primer Potion Eyeshadow Anti-Aging Formula Base 3.7 ml 0.13oz Mini Travel size

I had heard all sorts of commotion about UD eye primer so I was anxious to try it. The first tube I ordered arrived without the sponge doe foot applicator, so I didn't get to try it. The seller was out of the anti-aging eye primer (so politely refunded my money) and I decided to order this from a different seller. (At my age, you just don't buy stuff unless it's "anti-aging", "anti-wrinkle", or "dear-God, just-please-turn-back-the-clock"!) The price was very close to the cost of the first tube I bought (within $2), so I grabbed this and checked out, then anxiously awaited the arrival of my new eye primer, sure it was going to be just the life-altering product I've always wanted.WRONG.I probably should have started this review by saying that although I've very into skincare, I'm not a big makeup person. I have to go to my teenage daughter to ask about the latest trends (winged eyeliner) and products. She almost fell over when I began asking about UD eye primer - although she was decidedly less excited about the anti-aging properties than I was. (Who knows why.) She was so excited about acquiring Urban Decay anything, she immediately went and cleaned her room (an herculean task!) before returning and promising to love me "forever" if I would buy this eye primer. (Maybe that was my out?? Ha) Anyway, I ordered it. Again. Based on the honkin' photo the seller has chosen to represent the primer in this listing, I thought I was buying the exact same thing I had just purchased...with a working applicator. I was pretty bummed when a tube 2.5 times SMALLER showed up. (Yeah, now I see this is advertised as the 0.13 oz Mini Travel Size, instead of the 0.33 full size I had purchased the first time.) In my defense, the large photo is of the 0.33 size. Since I'm not familiar with this product, I was kind of dependent on the photo depicting what I would receive. (And 0.13 is pretty similar to 0.33 when you are comparing between pages.)I was taken aback with the silver pointy top - I was expecting the pretty prismatic top that had adorned the first tube I purchased. You know, like the lid this seller shows in their large product photo above. I was in a rush to get ready that day, so I unscrewed the lid to apply the primer...and was really shocked that there was no spongy doe foot applicator on this one, either. After noting the differences between the item I held in my hand versus the photo staring back at me from the picture, it dawned on me that I was holding an entirely different size.I'm a big one for reading descriptions and knowing what you are buying - and this item was no exception. However, based on the advertised photo I can understand how the size difference could be confusing to a new user. There is no applicator with the size I received, although there is one in the picture. Well, I take that back - your finger is the applicator. It was a big bummer.UD Primer Eyeshadow Primer Potion Anti-Aging alleges it will instantly wake up tired eyes, minimizes crepiness and red, ruddy issues and imperfections. It contains special optical-blurring (light diffusing) pigments that are supposed to create a subtle, soft-focus effect around your eyes by obscuring flaws - and it asserts "new, advanced ingredients" will prevent future age-related damage. If I remember correctly, Bare Minerals purports similar facial results by using their Mineral Veil.This primer claims it has "high-tech wrinkle fighting ingredients", "improves tone and texture", and "measurably improves the signs of aging over time". The active ingredients are Dermaxyl (helps with wrinkles) and Kalpariane (hydrates, firms, and plumps). Kalpariane is also supposed to help with skin suppleness. I'm not familiar with those ingredients, but their results sounded pretty good! ;) I like the primer, although I can't tell any effect from the anti-aging properties. I don't wear this everyday, though. In fact, I probably wear it once-a-week or once every ten days. That's about how frequently I wear eye makeup - but I know my daughter has used it almost daily since it arrived. We both agree we love how it feels - it makes your eyelids kind of velvety...and how it looks, or rather, doesn't look - eye shadow stays in place much better, for much longer, and doesn't get sucked into the lid crease halfway through the day. I don't wear heavy, dark makeup - mostly browns and creams, neutral tones - but I feel like it's hard to see any of my makeup by lunch. I'm not real sure where it slides off to, but when I figure it out I'll be looking at one massive mound of eye shadow! This primer kept the eye makeup on longer, as well as keeping the appearance fresh. My make up doesn't move when I apply a base layer of this primer before doing my eye makeup - and my daughter reports similar results.Even though this little tube isn't going to last very long, I think I'm hooked enough to order more when this is gone. I'm glad we decided to try it. I wish the picture would have been more representative of the product we were actually getting, but I learned a lesson. I will be much more careful comparing listings when I am unfamiliar with the product I'm considering. This is super expensive...however, using it feels more like a pampering splurge than it does just another makeup product to slap on.

I have to say not using eye primer to using this helps a lot. I don’t know if I have a big eye crease or a little more oily eyelids but I still see a slight eyeshadow line towards the end of the day. I don’t know if it’s the product or like I said just my eyelids. I would recommend it though.

I love this primer! was told by a good friend to purchase this as a first timer. It's soo silky smooth. I love how it makes the eye shadow look.

Product is easy to apply, yet it seems I need To apply more than I’d expect for appropriate coverage. It is silky and this goes on easily.

I have never used an eye primer before I tried a little of the eye primer I don't know if there is a big difference with it or with out it. The next time I put a full a mount of make up I will use it.

It is like putting on velvet on your eyelid. I use it everyday and I like it so much I have purchased 5 tubes over time.
