PackIt Freezable Uptown Lunch Bag, Bloom

Let me just say I struggled w/giving this four stars due to my initial impression. I'll explain later. The bag came packed very flat, easy to wrap as a gift or ship. (see pic)Pros:1. Easy to clean. I turn inside out and wash w/warm soapy water, sometimes I add a little bleach to the water if there's a pungent smell (think onions or garlic) I'd like to eliminate. Exterior cleans well w/warm soapy (NO BLEACH) cloth and air dry.2. Easy to store. I fold and slide into freezer door behind food. You can even put food on top of it as it folds down kind of flat.3. Easy to use. Just pop out of freezer, open and load up w/my breakfast, lunch or snacks. I use for work and we use on family road trips for keeping fruit and apply juice cool (ds loves cold juice). I even refreeze once empty at work or when I get to my destination. Easy breezy!4. Looks great! I get compliments on my Uptown Lunch Bag all the time.5. It WORKS! I don't like to use the refrigerator at work (community property) so I keep my lunch at my desk away from lunch trolls and where I can keep my eye on it. I HATE milt and yogurt but I have to eat it them as part of my nutrition plan. This bag keeps my milk and yogurt COLD for up to 8hrs. I'm not talking about cool, I'm talking cold like it just came out of the refrigerator. Winning!Cons:1. Design - Excess internal plastic material gets caught in the zipper. The inside plastic ripped and it's very unsightly. (see pics) It happened the moment I unpacked it and unzipped it as you can still see the packaging in the pic I took of the damage :( However, this is the only con in one year of usage.If not for the one design flaw I would have given this bag 5 Stars. I love it and will definitely purchase again, as gifts. I'd recommend to friends as well.

I was looking for a lunchbox that would be able to keep my food cold during long days at school or clinicals. I am the type of person to always forget to put the ice packs in the fridge and they take up so much room. I was excited because this bag seemed like a large bag and by freezing the entire bag, I would be able to guarantee that my food stayed cold.First off, I love the print. It is fun and feminine. However, the bag isn't quite as big as I thought it was. You definitely cannot pack large containers but this is great for things that are in ziploc bags and can be easily move around in a bag. My biggest issue is that when you zip it up, you have to be very careful or you will zip the liner within the zipper and it will get stuck. It seems like maybe the liner is too big and it makes it too hard to zip up. I do like that strap, it makes it easier to carry around rather than a handle.

Purchased this bag to carry my lunch to work. Alter using the bag for a month I am shopping for something larger which will accommodate a salad, snacks and two drinks as well as extra freeze packs. Cons: I don't care for how the top opens as you must extend the flap before unzipping and if you overfill the bag the flap will not lay flat and be quite awkward to carry(looks funny too.) In an air conditioned office the bag will be room temperature by lunch if you don't add extra freezer packs. Pro; the bag is supper cute and appears to be made quite well except for the zipper which catches the inside lining if not careful. This bag is just too small for my needs but would be adequate for some one who carries small sandwiches and limited containers.

I am glad the bag is cute because that's its saving grace. Not impressed at all with the "cold" feature. I put it in the freezer ever night and so it has a good 14+ hours to chill. It's cold when I bring it out but by lunch time (4 hours later) its warm. I work in an air conditioned environment that keeps the temp on the cooler side (68 usually) so it's not like the bag is in sweltering heat. My commute to work is also very brief (6 minute drive) so no long, sweaty car ride for my bag either. Good thing I have a fridge at work!

We love the product and this is out 6th buy however this particular model was a bit disappointing as the zip came off on the second day of use.We managed to fix it however would recommend they have a look at it to ensure it is not a manufacture issue.Has great space, the handle is comfortable, product with beautiful colour and keep the food cool long enough for school.

The freezable bag works well and stays cold for a long time six hours. The only negative is the velcro which wears out after six months of usage. I have ordered three bags and they all fail and six months of daily usage. Velcro good be a better quality!

I really thought this bag would stay colder longer than it does. Even in an office environment, the interior of the bag is warm when I get home after an 8 hour day. Stuff is still cold at lunch, but you wouldn't want to depend on it for a very long day. I find that my old lunch cooler, with an ice pack will stay cold longer.

Keeps my lunch cold from 7am - 1pm. Fully defrosted by 4pm.
