The doll has past the waist length, straight, slightly layered, ash blonde hair. The hair is rooted and very strong and silky. Your child (or you!) will be able to restyle it many times without it going "ratty" like some other dolls.Her eyes are blue, and have a strip of false eyelashes. If you want a more natural look, the strip can be pulled off easily without damaging the doll.The hair is parted in the centre.See my photos as reference.If this is your first Paola Reina doll, you are in for a treat. The face is gorgeous and is that right combination of "doll-like, but with human features". For my tastes, I find some of the girl dolls of other popular brands in the 13-18" range to be not very attractive, as if they skimped on finding a talented artist to sculpt the face.Not so with Paola Reina...the level of artistry is very high, and the price (at the time of this writing) is very reasonable.It is really a wonderful idea for the company to sell the dolls without clothing, and packaged in a simple plastic bag, so that the price can be kept affordable, and you or your child can enjoy making clothes for them. They also sell the dolls with clothing and shoes, and boxed, so you can look for that option, too, if you don't want to make or buy clothes.These dolls are popular around the world, and if you search online, you can see many people have bought them and repainted their faces and rewigged them.However, if you're not interested in doll customisation, rest assured...this doll is perfect for a child as is.The arms and legs can move around, but the joints are not articulated.As many have noted, the Paola Reina dolls have a strong vanilla scent. Some people like it and some don't. This seems to be common with the children's dolls sold by French brands as well. If you air them out, it will lessen, but don't expect it to completely go away immediately.The doll is Made in Spain, and whoever is working at the factory is doing a wonderful job. I have purchased a handful of these dolls over the years, and the eyes, eyebrows, lips, etc., are always applied well and where they should be.I am designing knit and crochet doll clothing, and this lovely lady will be one of my models.If you find this review useful, please consider giving me a HELPFUL vote. There are some videos on YouTube of the Manica dolls, in different outfits & with different hair, and those other ones look really lovely. This one does too. I ordered this doll as I needed a present really quick, plis, I just could not think of throwing out the wellies & blue shoes that arrived earlier (both by Glitter Girls, Batat, for 14" dolls) and never fitted our 14.5" doll despite the promise in their description. This Paola Reina Amiga was intended as a hand-me-down clothes bearer who would inherit the clothes that are too small for the 14" doll. This doll does seem to be just a tiny bit smaller in the foot & height department, though their arms seem to be the same length as our doll's, as well as the torsos. Anyway, different dolls, different measurements, this one is slightly more petite. And beautiful she is. I never expected it. This little thing is quite a darling. She has some dear features that any little owner will appreciate - eyelashes, plump lips with tiny folds, it is a doll that looks like a child, with a face that is quite possible. This doll is quite heavy for its size, so might be better for 4+ children, but other than that my understanding is that it is quite safe - 100% made in Spain from non-toxic vinyl. Again, a video of its making is available on YouTube, posted by the manufacturer. Compared to other dolls from the same brand, this doll & Liu look the most groomed ones. The rest of the dolls have too much puffiness to the faces, so this is an excellent choice - a perfect doll at a much better price compared to others. The doll's colours appear to be much brighter in my photos due to the flash, in reality the colours are more neutral & subtle. It does have a light smell that is vaguely reminiscent of vanilla but it could also go without, unless you need to train a dog to find it. Bought this for my youngest niece, she seems very taken with it, a hit.

Lovely doll, she has now been customised by me and the face mould is adorable. She had good quality hair of a lovely length and colour. The dolls still smells of vanilla, even though I washed her hair, repainted her face and exchanged her body to a jointed one. The only thing I wish, is that the Paola Reina company hurry up and bring out their own jointed body for the las amigas range, as the market is clearly there.

It would have been nice to have received the correct doll. However, though the doll I received was of the same size and make. It's hair didn't have a fringe, and it's hair colour was several shades lighter.The scent of these dolls is lovely, and as I didn't have this doll, I decided to keep her.However, when a customer makes a choice, one expects to receive the choice one has made.

Recently discovered this Spanish doll maker and find these versions fantastically beautiful and sweet. Glass eyes, beautiful hair and beautiful realistic facial expression. Doll has a vanilla scent and smells great (scent is not overpowering and does not smell chemically). Some think the proportion of the head to the body is too big, but that is a personal matter for everyone. This seller packed it well and shipped it very quickly.

Für diesen Preis ist es eine sehr schöne Puppe die auch noch gut riecht. Sie wird in einer Plastikverpakung geliefert. Ich habe ihr die Puppenkleidung von Glitter Girls bestellt und es passt.
