Good morning. I have a GE refrigerator and I need to change the main control board "EBX1005G01 REV M". Does "GE WR55X10942" works  perfectly?

I have the same motherboard "Ebx1005G01 rev M" and I noticed there is no "green wire" spanning from one side to the other of the board. Did you order it? And was it a drop in replacement or did you have to modify some wiring? Thanks, I appreciate any feedback.

I have received many requests asking whether this part will fit various model numbers. While I'd like to help and have tried to answer a few of them as best I can, I'm not an appliance repair wiz and am certainly not an expert. My best advice is to research your model by googling the model number to find parts lists and looking at what they give as the manufacturer's part number, then seeing if the manufacturer part cross references to the replacement. Many of these components will fit multiple models, and are sometimes made with extra plugs or sockets to further expand the range of applications they satisfy. The replacement part manufacturers also publish what their parts fit in terms of model numbers of the appliances and/or original part numbers they replace. If you spend a little time on this, you'll likely find what you're looking for and it'll make you more confident and the job easier to handle. Major household appliances commonly last a long time until something major wears out, if you are willing to try the smaller, less complex repairs that can be done safely, you can greatly extend the lifespan of these items and save hundreds or even thousands compared to replacement or professional repair costs. Youtube is invaluable, as are other sites that post how to videos. Try to look at a couple different ones and then decide if you think its something you can handle. Good luck.
