Lisle 61900 Heavy Duty Bearing and Seal Driver Set

I work as a heavy diesel and equipment field tech. I work on everything from heavy on road trucks to earthmoving equipment. This set is complete for this equipment. I have yet to find a seal size this kit won’t fit. The adapters are machined precisely, the seal lip holds firmly against the adapter allowing for application of sealant and for easily lining up the seal into the bore. Most times I use a four pound hand sledge to install seals and the striking handles and threads are still in excellent condition. Excellent Lisle product at a great value.

First use and it broke. The handle was badly flatten and the plate that I used had very severe damage rings. I would not recommend this set for two reasons: First it will only fit extra large races only. I used the smallest one on my semi truck that has very large races. None of the other plates will ever do any good to me or 99% of the people (maybe NASA). Second, they are made out of aluminum, very soft and brittle. Don't let the pretty pictures fool you. I am surprised they make this type of tool this weak. If you have a plastic car with huge races go for it, otherwise you will be returning it. I will update my review for customer service if they accept the return. $200 down the toilet otherwise for a tool that is cheaply made. You can also borrow this tool for free at your local autozone/oreillys and the size are better. I found out too late.UPDATE: Even though the product didn't measure up the refund was fast as smooth. It is great to find people like this, that when it doesn't work out they refund your money without a problem. For that I am changing my review stars to 5. A no questions asked refund deserves it, even if the product doesn't work for you. No risk for you.

Looks like a decent set. Be warned... the piece of foam that separates the pieces will degrade into hard goo that is very hard to remove. Toss it immediately and replace it with a piece of oiled cloth or leather.As is often the case, the product I received was previously used and Amazon sold it as new. Amazon leadership told me that the best way to get Amazon to change their practices is to complain in these reviews.

Great for installing wheel seals and bearing. Usually use a 3 lb hammer and haven't mushroomed the end yet. I do about 5 wheel seals a week. Great durability and for professional use

If you do brakes,seals etc. save your self from blocks of wood,sockets etc. these work perfectly sets the seal perfect

I work on industrial size forklifts. Brake system similar to big rigs. Works great for installing over size oil seals. The only thing I wish is they have more sizes available in between a large and small. I do find a lot of off-the-wall sizes working on forklifts. But besides that this thing has save me a lot of time and headaches

I've made a lot of money with this tool. Would recommend. Im a Mobile truck mechanic.
