Great firestarters for the price and quantity
Great product, lights easily with lighter or match. Tried other fire starters before this purchase and it always took 2 pieces to start a good fire. This item we only used 1 piece. Started a fire quickly and easy to use. Also for the price, well worth the money. You usually can only get a pack of 12 firestarters, so its good to find one that has a lot of pieces. Recommended to any camper or outdoors man. Shipped fast

These work great to start my lump charcoal
These work great to start my lump charcoal. Sometimes its takes a while to get them lit and/or hard to tell if they stay lit, but I'm getting the hang of it. Once they get going, they are great and getting the lump charcoal heated quickly and evenly. I use 4 at a time for my Primo XL (400 sq in of cooking surface).

they burn for a couple minutes and then smoke like crazy.
These are tiny and don't stay lit long. I use them to light hardwood charcoal for grill, they burn for a couple minutes and then smoke like crazy.

Does the job at less than half the price of the competition!!!
I have 2 kamado style grills and go thru a lot of lighter cubes as I grill out 4-5 times a week year round. I have always used the weber lighter cubes and they work very well. I bought these initially based on price admittedly I was a bit nervous due to some bad reviews. Have used these a few times now and one cube lights the lump charcoal in my kamados just like the competition did. I have not noticed any odd odors as some of the previous reviewers have stated. In fact you can definitely tell there is actually wood within these cubes based on the smell while burning. These are 9 cents per cube vs 19 cents per weber cube. Don't let a few bad reviews deter you, this product works as advertised at a great price.

Doesn't light as easily nor burn as well as alternative
I grill and smoke in a kamado-style smoker using hardwood lump charcoal. I have tried several fire starters that work pretty well, but I'm always looking for a less expensive alternative. I liked being able to buy these in bulk, and that they are natural. But they are VERY difficult to light. Once they are, lit they do not burn very hot and they extinguish pretty easily. So far, Weber Fire Starter Cubes have worked the best, but they are messy (crumbly) and expensive. Still trying to find that perfect, clean-burning, food safe starter.

Three Stars
Doesn't light as well as some other brands, but works ok for what's needed.

Great value!
They work very well despite their small size. I use them in my Green Egg and it takes just one to start it up, in 10 mins I have a fully lit set of coals. The price per square is about 1/2 that of most other big name starters. 4 star due to some are broken, only a few. Great value!

Easier than newspaper
Katon Cubes Charcoal Fire Starter. 100 count Per BarrelKaton Cubes Charcoal Starter lights easily and burns hot to start charcoal. I used newspapers to start charcoal which worked fine but I didn't plan to take a subscription to light coals. Katon cube works great, be sure to light cubes with chimney over them to protect flame from the wind.
