Kichange is more than a behavior chart. It is a values driven currency system that helps kids understand how their choices, whether it is a choice on how to behave, how to spend time or how to spend money, impacts and contributes to the economy of the entire family. It links their goals to their parents goals and helps kids draw the connection between their happiness and their parents happiness. The value of Kichange is set by each family according to the family's particular needs and values. For families that want more structure, the weekly checklist can be used as a guide to help keep kids organized and on track each day. For families that value flexibility, the colorful Kichange tokens, alone, provide a fun way to keep kids motivated to make regular contributions to the family economy. The complete package includes a notebook with a token storage board, a daily checklist, one week per page and a journal section so that the child can record more noteworthy accomplishments. In addition to documenting the child's behavioral and inner growth, use of Kichange helps kids practice basic math and writing skills and introduces basic economic principles. It is recommended for children aged 6-12.

This so works!!
This system has changed our family's life for the better. My daughter is no longer the bratty screaming demanding 8 year old child since using this chart a week ago. She is very cooperative, picks up after herself, gets ready for school by herself, and constantly asks to do chores. I noticed that it's no longer available on Amazon but I'm not sure why. This has proved invaluable to both her and my family. Thank you so much Kichange!!

We then negotiated a Kichange redemption value for certain privileges like playing his Xbox
Kichange is a must have for any family wanting to encourage the development of positive life skills through a thoughtful and systematic reward system. We introduced Kichange to our son over a year ago when he was 9. At that time we were struggling to get him to remember to do his chores, and he was anxious to earn an allowance. Together we listed his chores in the Kichange journal and then gave each chore a value in Kichange currency. We then negotiated a Kichange redemption value for certain privileges like playing his Xbox, sleepovers and extended bedtime. We explained to our son that if he wanted to earn additional Kichange he could do so by journaling examples of good citizenship. He was so excited when he earned his first Kichange that you would have thought it was real money. After that he was all in and even made it a point to journal, whenever possible, any acts of kindness or instances where he went over and above what was expected of him. Since using the Kichange system I have seen a marked difference in our son. He has learned to truly appreciate the value of his hard work. In addition, he has come to recognize the impact his positive behavior has had on himself and those around him. In reviewing his journal entries, it is clear that his writing skills have also improved and he has learned the value of saving and how to spend his Kichange wisely. I would highly recommend Kichange to anyone who is looking for a fun and positive way to teach and reinforce good life skills in children.
