Invacare Bed Table, Height Adjustable & Tilting Overbed Table, Hospital Bedside Table, Medical Rolling Desk with Wheels, Waterproof Medical and Home Use L-Shaped Steel Base Over Bed Tray Table

As I usually do, I read many revues before deciding on this table. Many purchasers went to great lengths to explain the difficulties experienced with the directions and assembly procedures. I even copied a few to aid me when assembling. I could have saved myself a lot of angst had I known how absolutely easy it was to put together. Everything worked perfectly and I am happy with my purchase. Some complained about getting a knock off; mine definitely is Invacare. Spring loaded raising operation is awesome, with just a little hand down pressure to lower. Intermediate locking is secure. I won't be putting any heavy objects on it, so I'm not concerned with the 25lb. weight limit; but it does have a very sturdy feel to it. Shipping was super fast and arrived with nary a scrape on it. Exceptions can occur, but I think if you are even slightly mechanically inclined, you will not need to concern yourself with assembl-ophobia. Unless you plan on the grandkids using it for a skateboard, I think you will be pleased with the quality of this product. [one caveat: don't over-tighten the screws fastening the frame to the table. After all, it is particle board, and stripping is a possibility. I wouldn't use an electric drill/screwdriver.]

I read reviews on a zillion tables for over a month before deciding on this one based on the numerous good reviews (thank you reviewers!) Glad this is the one I got! Shipper was Medical For You, who got it here in 2 days. Easy to put together, though you will need a phillips head screwdriver to remove the locking screw on the pole and a wrench to tighten the nuts securely. Comes with a hefty allen wrench and all screws secured in a bag, table & legs & pole snuggled up in styro & cardboard in a tidy package. Had it together in about 10 minutes flat. Just the perfect size for a laptop & mousepad. Tilt is a little stiff but that's ok, ensures I don't accidentally tilt too far too quickly. Glides easily on it's lockable wheels. Very trim profile & footprint for beside living room chair which is currently my 'office'. I use it here by sitting in chair, THEN pulling the table in front so the wheel bar slides under the raised footrest. The wheeled bar will fit under the chair but then I don't have as much of the table top directly in front of me. Very sturdy & a great buy I think at this price. Be sure to check the dimensions!!! This is NOT a full sized hospital table, it's not as long as the ones in the hospital. I can imagine 101 uses for this table. Breakfast in bed, kid tray, housing plants, bird stand. Just keep in mind the weight max recommended is 25 pounds. The only thing I need now is an anti-slip mat for my laptop cooler pad as the lip that goes around the tabletop is quite petite. It has two levers for adjusting. Top one is for the tilt, lower one is for the table height. The Tilt has presets that lock securely in place, so you can adjust as you want but if you want a lower setting you have to squeeze the handle to make it go lower. I like this. No accidental swings to the lowest position dumping whatever you have on the table in your lap or on the floor. The handle for the height is easy-lift and lower once it's squeezed. As soon as you release it the table height is locked right there and doesn't move at all. Very happy with this & highly recommended! 2/23/15 BTW this also works GREAT as a stand up desk!!!! I put a lidded cardboard letter box under my laptop & it is the perfect reading height, while the desktop is just right for mousing. The more I use this little table the more I love it.

Great value. This table is sturdy and extremely functional. My wife has suffered 2 strokes and has no control of her left arm and limited control of her left leg. This table meets her needs perfectly. We use it in the bedroom next to her side of the bed. It has a good amount of surface area, rolls easily on its wheels on hard floor so she can move it out of the way and pull it closer to her easily, has more than enough height adjustment to easily fit over her legs and the wheels are low and slide under our bed so she can pull the table directly over her in bed so she can eat and use her ipad. I bought the tilting version which is also a useful feature for her on occasion. Table feels very solid for something that can adjust and move the way it does and was easy to put together. I am bery happy and it has been a great little quality of life investment for my beautiful wife. Highly recommend!

UPDATE AFTER 17 MONTHS THE WHEELS FOR DESK GAVE OUT WHICH I EXPECTED AS THEY ARE VERY CHEAP. WHEN I TRIED TO GET CONTACT INFO FROM SELLER THAT IS STILL ACTIVE LEARNED NO CONTACT INFO IS PROVIDED FOR THIS SELLER WHICH I FIND VERY SHADY SO NOW I'M STUCK WITH BROKEN WHEELS AND NO WAY TO CONTACT SELLER. ATTEMPTED TO GET INFO FROM AMAZON BY CALLING THEM AND WAS FORCED TO DEAL WITH RUDE SERVICE REP THAT COULD NOT SPEAK ENGLISH WELL AND SENT ME A "LINK" TO CONTACT SELLER THAT DOES NOT WORK. VERY AWFUL SERVICE FROM BOTH SELLER TIGERDAD AND AMAZON......WON'T BE RENEWING MY SUBSCRIPTION WITH AMAZON SERVICE HAS GONE WAY DOWN Great bedside table. I ordered this overbed table after reading reviews of practically all the tables available on amazon.com and other sites. I am disabled and wanted a table that was sturdy enough to handle a laptop and didn't cost and arm and a leg. The fact that this table also had tilt was an added bonus. The table is very sturdy and I would absolutely buy it again. The rounded lip is very nice and makes sure small items, like pens do not slip off, even when it's tilted. It is easy to tilt and also move up and down, which is a bonus if you don't have a lot of upper body strength. Now for the cons: Putting it together was exceedingly difficult. The instructions were not very helpful and the parts did not fit together all that well. However, once they were beat into submission (literally), it did fit fine and it is very sturdy and works great. I ordered it based on some reviews about how easy it was to put together because my husband does not enjoy "put it together" projects, but even with my help it was difficult. The other potential problem is the rollers. I have vinyl flooring so it isn't an issue, but they are not very robust, so if you had a deep pile carpeting they would probably have issues. They don't do particularly well on my throw rugs, but that is easy to fix. If I had wall-to-wall carpet, I may need help in maneuvering the table around. Overall, it was absolutely worth the money and I would not hesitate to buy another one and would recommend it to others.

This item was perfect for what I needed and I also noticed that it isn’t hard at all to take apart and put back together it’s overall very good product as well as easy to replace top table also in case you want something a tad bigger/smaller

I read so many reviews stating the lousy instructions and poor quality, I was hesitant to order this table but I need one and this appeared to be the best choice. having received it I am dumbfounded at the other reviews. this table is 95% assembled when you take it from the box. A 12 year old can assemble this table. there are only 3 pieces. You assemble the base to the post with two bolts and the top to the base with one bolt AND YOU ARE DONE!!!!! after assembly you remove the shipping screw and replace it with the little screw provided. THAT'S IT !!!!!! As for the instructions they are very simple and very clear. I see so many comments about the "long screw and don't remove it". There is a label on the screw that says" remove after assembly" so I don't understand why so many people seem to remove it first and cause themselves problems. Now , as for the table itself. It is very high quality. It is every bit as good as the ones in the hospital. the top is sturdy and looks very nice , easy to clean, and the edge is raised to keep items from rolling off. My laptop has rubber feet and they do not slide on the vinyl wood grain top even when i tilt it. The height adjustment is very easy to adjust and locks at any height. Whe you raise the table, go a little high and push down till it clicks and it is locked in that position. It won't move. The height and tilt levers are heavy steel and sturdy. They are easy to get to. The only complaint I have is it was supposed to be chrome but the base is a hammertone gray instead, but still looks nice. You will not be disappointed in this table at all.

Works well. The adjustable height is great! Makes being able to eat while sitting on the edge of my bed very easy and convenient.
