... so if it is loud by them it is pretty much useless
not very clear sound and the call button only alerts other people for about 30 seconds so if it is loud by them it is pretty much useless, most call buttons I have used keep alerting till the person responds and I feel that is much better. We don't use these at all and have 8 of them.

Bought these for a cruise. The reception on them was not great. Had to be in same area of ship to really work effectively.

none of those advertised range is true in actual/practical application. but it is true under controlled experimental conditions like open desert, ocean and areal applications where you have unobstructed line of sight. You'll get over 16 miles for that assuming that the atmospheric condition is right for radio frequency propagation.
