The Little Yellow Practice Book (My First Piano Adventure)

We bought this book upon the request of my daughter's piano teacher. The book seems to be very helpful in getting her up to speed. Very useful, indeed.

Works great for parents to know what a child's homework is.

Use this with all my young students. Room for assignments at the top, and at the bottom is a picture of a keyboard with days of the week. The kids love filling in the keys with coloring or stickers to show which days they practice. I highly recommend this book.

My 6 year old uses this book. I love the piano keys that you color in on the days that you practice. It keeps my child accountable of all the practicing that is (or is not) done. This is our second book.

I am a composer and pianist. I used this journal for one of my younger piano students. Really good journal! There are fun illustrations on every page. I had my studebt color in a key for every day that she practiced. Very handy and organized and also fun. This little journal is very affordable and fits 47 lessons/pages! Also cute little music firefly that you can look for on every page (fun little "find the firefly" for kids).

I wrongly assumed that this was a book with practice activities. It is not. It is a book designed for children to mark off that they have practiced. Children can color in a piano key for every day that they play the piano. There is a spot for teachers to write down specifics that should be practiced in a list form. It is nice, if all you want is a practice log book.

Love this set including Lesson and Writing Book...haven't used the flash cards yet. This one the teacher writes in the "homework" and my daughter follows that for practice. When she practices she gets to color in a key. Helpful also when another family member takes her to lessons I am able to see what her homework is and be able to work with her.

This helps mom at home to know what the assignments are so she can better assist her little one to practice. The child enjoys coloring in the keys for each day.
