Mosquitoes Are Ruining My Summer!: And Other Silly Dilly Camp Songs

I am a teacher for grades K-3, and my students LOVE this book. They are constantly asking me to sing the songs in the book. The tunes are simple enough and very familiar, and the words are really funny. An example of one song:Mosquitoes are Ruining My Summer (to the tune of "My Bonnie Lies Over The Ocean")Mosquitoes are ruining my summer,Mosquitoes from morning til night.Mosquitoes are ruining my summer,cuz it's only me that they bite.Yes, I have it memorized. If you are musical and can easily sing the above song, you will love all the songs in this book. I highly recommend it. I also have most of the other books by this author (Kats), and have really enjoyed them all.

If only there were more books in this collection! It is a fantastic book that will get kids of all ages reading and wanting to join in on the song. Once kids start reading these new lyrics to old time favorite they begin creating their own version on the song. So much fun and healthy family time without technology!
