Use it under my pellet grill and flat top grill to protect patio from grease. Works perfectly!

I wish this was heavier or weighted so it wouldn’t get blown up by the wind so much. I am constantly having to turn the corners back down because they are blown up by the wind. But it will keep the patio from getting stained.

I was expecting a bit nicer surface than was on this. Its rather like a very thick roofing felt (black tar paper). Its very plain and the edges never really lay down neatly. It definitely does not improve the look of the grill area; of course you get what you pay for and this one was cheap.

Not even heat retardant. Piece of plastic backed felt. What my picture shows is the warm empty charcoal chimney that fell over. Chimney ruined with black toxic plastic melted to side. Should have expected that since first day of use a coal ember melted through pad. Not sure what this was designed for- perhaps “ Customer Satisfaction Retardent”!

Go ahead and buy this if you want burn marks all over your deck! I’ve resorted to soaking it down with water, and keeping a gallon on hand to keep it wet while I’m cooking. I’m waiting on a replacement I don’t have any problems with my Kamado spilling ashes or coals on to the ground, but with the Weber it’s a consistent problem. You need to protect your deck floor from getting burnt, lumber is too expensive to replace, and the cost of repairing the color is painstaking. So if you want to buy something to protect your deck find something else this will not help you in any way shape or form. Spend a little extra time searching and more money and you will have what you need.this is garbage and a waste of your time and money!

This seems to work well for protecting the deck from grease spills in front of the barbecue.

Pretty simple. I have my grill over it and the mat seems to protect my deck.I do wish that the corners were weighted some how to keep it from rolling up when there's wind.
