steth 'n go - Magnetic Stethoscope Holder

I really enjoy this product. It’s very simple to use. It clips on and off without hassle. The size is small, and blends in nicely with my navy scrubs.I have read prior reviews. Unsure what was the concern of the poor quality, especially with breaking. I have been using it consistently everyday with a lot of abuse, and it has not failed me.It has been difficult in the beginning, especially with my heavy littmann cardiology 4, to adjust the stethoscope to balance it right on my hip. It took a 10 minute of tinkering to find the right spot for the perfect balance.the concern I hear is that the pinch where the holder attach to stethoscope decreases the ability to hear. I have not found that out for me. I have heard murmurs without problem, and I did try hearing murmurs without the pinch, and I couldn’t find a difference.I recommended this product strongly to everyone.

Broke the second day I used it. Waste of money. I was not able to return because it was a gift and buy the time it was given and broke it was a day past the return date.

The product is good at a few things in particular: lightweight, easy one hand removal, rests well at your side even when sitting down.Downsides - best comfort is with tucking in shirt where the clip sits (which is not something most of us will do), the way it attaches to our top heavy stethoscope requires you bend or attach the stethoscope together to hang a certain way on your side.This review was completed after about a months worth of use. I think this product has very few competitor options such as the ‘batwing’ etc. but this product is my preference among the options available on the market that I have evaluated.

I did not find this to be more ergonomic than hanging it around my neck - the end meant to clip on the scope is too tight for a Littman Cardiology series scope, so you have to clip it below the solid tip of the bell/diaphragm leading into the tubing. Even this is too thick for the clip, so the tubing gets pinched which makes me concerned about auscultation quality while I have the clip on it. This also makes the weight distribute weirdly when the magnet is clipped to the pants clip, so it ends up rotating to one side when you hang the earpieces around the bell/diaphragm, instead of balancing the bell/diaphragm upright. This makes the tubing hang at the side weirdly, creates a bigger loop which gets caught on doorknobs/chair arms/bedrails. While you walk, the bell/diaphragm ends up rotating enough for the earpieces to fall off. Finally, within two weeks, the plastic clip meant to hook into pants broke when I went to stand up with my scope attached and got caught on a chair arm. No clue how it happened, but it seems to not be very durable in that area - I would imagine the scope should have disengaged from the magnet or slipped out of the scope clip before something like that happened.

I’ve been looking for a stethoscope holder that I can use for my Littman 3100 electronic stethoscope and so far have not seen one on the market or at least one made with good quality material until I ordered steth n’ go. My steth is pretty heavy and I am very glad to have gotten my holder from steth n’ go because it holds my electronic stethoscope in place, it didn’t look or feel cheap, and it was very convenient to carry. I’ve had it for a while now and it has not given me any problems but rather have gotten multiple compliments from it. I’ve tried other stethoscope holders in the past and I can definitely say that with steth n’ go is by far the best one I’ve got and I can highly recommend this to all of my friends with no reservations. Money well spent on a product with great quality. Check it out.

The mechanism is easy but the part's especially the magnet can become loose

While the concept is great, I went through 2 of these with minimal use. Am now stuck with a broken unit as could only return one. Would not purchase, the plastic parts break easily and just don't last.

I have used the Steth ‘n go for a few shifts now. I found wearing it just forward of my hip is the most comfortable. It is easy to deploy and easy to secure. The only issue that I have had is that the part that fits on the stethoscope, came unscrewed. Lucky for me one of my co-workers saw it fall and brought it to me. If anyone owns one, I would advise them to unscrew it and add some lock-tight to it. That's what I did!
