EcoBox Mattress Box Fits King, Queen, Twin or Full up to 14" Thick

Many of the reviews highlighted the fact that the box can tend to be a bit flimsy. But -- this is one of the best price points on the market so knowing that, I just made some adjustments. We were moving our Queen sleep number bed mattress in the inflated state from NC to FL. What I ended up doing was adding some additional large pieces for cardboard on the inside for reinforcement and also used Gorilla Tape on the outside to reinforce the box. In the area where the top section meets the bottom section, I used a combination of the plastic "Saran Wrap type" packing material on a roll (you can buy at Lowes for wrapping furniture, etc.) and Gorilla Tape. Bottom line - a little extra effort and my inflated Sleep Number mattress made the trip perfectly.

I purchased a mattress online and wanted to return it. I couldn't use the box it came in because the company used a compressor to squeeze out all the air and squish the mattress into a small carton. EcoBox is the only box I could find that enabled me to pack my mattress (Twin XL). The box is thin and not sturdy. I had to purchase a large roll of Gorilla Tape to reinforce the box. Basically I wrapped the box horizontally and vertically with Gorilla Tape. I also inserted extra cardboard to keep the mattress (which was soft and floppy) from bending. The return was successful, so I'm extremely grateful to this company. That is why I give them 4 stars. Otherwise, because the material is so thin I would rate it only 3 stars.

We needed a box to ship our mattress, and they are hard to find. This was one of the only boxes out there that could fit a queen mattress, so we got it. It did the job (meaning, it allowed us to ship our mattress), but the entire experience was terribly frustrating. Because it comes folded, it takes about 15 rolls of tape to even begin to get the halves to stay together or for the ends to stay closed. After being shipped across the country, there were several holes in the box, and we were glad we also were required to have a mattress bag. Overall, if you need a mattress box this will do - just be prepared to be frustrated.

I really wanted to return this box before I moved, but I didn't. My main problem with it was that it smelled bad when I received it. I wound up purchasing another cover, a soft plastic one, and I used this as additional protection over the plastic cover. It was the best option, given the smell of this box. I used this box to move with but it's quite difficult to get a mattress into correctly and so the mattress was really only partially covered. I think the way it's folded for shipping makes it a bit less easy to use.

Cheap cardboard box provides a thin cardboard covering. Essentially requires you to also wrap your mattress in plastic too, which wasn't a problem for us because we kept the original plastic packaging. A role of Duck brand packaging tape was sufficient to keep the boxes on. In the future I would probably avoid shipping a mattress period, but this box sufficed.

Setting the box up to fit a mattress works fine. The disappointing part is one of the two boxes showed up a big gouge and both boxes were filthy. For the price paid I expect them to be in an undamaged and completely clean condition. Disappointed. Returning boxes for replacements tomorrow.

I do not recommend this style of box. The 2 half design is a lot of effort to make work. The only mattress that might work ok is a king. Our is a queen, and we had to cut it up to make a good fit. Was way to wide. Then the overlap of the 2 halves is minimal and takes a lot of tape to keep it together.

Given the awkward shape of this box in the first place, it was really hard to put together. We had to take it outside and it took us about two hours to figure out how to assemble and put on the mattress. It comes in two pieces. So you have to take the middle together. This was actually an issue when it came to shipping the mattress. UPS would not accept it because it was too flimsy. We secured the middle with shipping tape, but it wasn't enough. If you are simply using this box to move, it should do the trick. However, not recommended for shipping.
