German-Quality Scissors Made Individually by Hand in Japan - and it Shows
I earlier wrote an extensive review on a pair of German-made Solingen scissors, attempting to explain that if you have never tried these, you don't know what real scissors are like. Growing up, we always had a pair of German-made scissors in the house, and they cut with silky smooth precision, as real scissors should.Well, these relatively inexpensive Japanese scissors are right up there with their German counterparts in terms of their quality and cutting characteristics. I have now used four different types from this company, and they are so close to the precision and smoothness of the German equivalents--at about 1/3 the price--that it is amazing. The packaging some of these will look somewhat "corny" (for lack of a better word) to most North Americans, but all that fades away once you get the scissors in your hand and start cutting. To use them is to realize the scissors you may have been using most of your life are just cheaply made, mass-produced implements. Ever cut hair at home, and feel the "pull" or snagging during the process? The German Solingens cut through hair like warm butter, without a trace of a pull or snag, and these Japanese scissors, which are made for paper and cardboard (depending on which model you purchase) have the same effect: silky-smooth, precise, refined cut, with no pull or snag. Now, remember, this is achieved (in both the German and Japanese cases) by hand-griding and precision assembly: if you drop your scissors, particularly on a hard floor, you may knock the blade alignment out of place. They will still cut, but if the alignment is out, they'll feel more like the cheapo scissors you may be used to. So be careful with them. But, boy, these things cut like magic, or, rather, as real scissors should. Try them and see what I mean. HIGHLY recommended.

Love the non-stick coating and they are razor sharp scissors.
I just want to start out saying I love sharp things. Not sure why but I do. These little scissors are no exception, they are super sharp and cut paper and cloth easily and smoothly. These are my second pair, but I opted for the non-stick coating. Used it to cut a lot of packing tape and so far so good, none of that sticky adhesive residue on the scissor blades. It has been nearly 3 months of use and still super sharp and a quick wipe with some paper towel with some sewing machine oil and the residue build up comes right off.My one gripe about these scissors is that there is not adjusting screw. But what do you expect for the price. I feel that there is just a bit too much tension for me to open and close the scissors, and if it had the tensioning screw I could adjust it to loosen it up just a bit. But since they are such a short pair of scissors it’s not really a big deal. The handles are comfy enough and even has little built in look to put some ribbon to tie it something so you don’t lose it.Just remember to just keep a dedicated pair for what ever material you are going to use it for. If you are going to cut paper just use that pair of scissors on paper. Same goes for cloth or what other type of material. The scissors really do customize themselves to a certain material and switching from one to another will not give your the best cut overtime.

Great Quality
THese are amazing for intricate paper cutting. I believe the only issue I can find with them is the hole size. I have slim small hands, so they work perfectly for me, but my brother tried them with his huge bear hands and he found using them a bit harder. However, since I bought them for me, I LOVE THEM!

Great scissors for tiny spaces
These scissors work really well for tiny spaces, even on 110# card stock. They are sharp and the tips meet perfectly for snipping. I am really pleased with them. The only thing to remember is that they would not work well for large cutting projects as the handles would not be comfortable... but for my purposes, cutting out tiny spaces, they work really well!

Good scissors are a must
I bought these for the decals I make for my construction equipment models. They work perfectly for cutting out detailed stickers. Very well made and very sharp they have made this part of my hobby much easier.

Small, precise, and capable of truly intricate designs, perfect for smaller hands
Small, precise, and capable of truly intricate designs, only limited by your imagination. Especially suited for people with smaller hands as holes are quite small. They worked perfectly fine for me.Having traveled to Japan many times, I know first hand the exceptional quality and ingenuity of Japanese products, and the dedication of each and every employee involved in the creation of a product. In fact, it was with that in mind that I was inspired to create this miniature Museum of Modern Art using these mini scissors.THANK YOU to the incredible products made by Hasegawa Cutlery Co of Japan. Nestled in a region of Japan known for sword smithing and knife making for over 800 years; Hasegawa has been legendary, for more than 90 years, producing some of the best and most innovative scissors in the world!

They are easy and precise to use for sutting out small items
I ordered these because I craft and i like to "fussy cut" items to fit my art project. these cut well and precise. I also have several other scissors more expensive and these are in the same league. Definitley a good buy.
