@TV Works, Great Product (but iPAD HDMI Video Issue)
Received the @TV product from UPS guy late yesterday. Had it configured and installed and working in less than an hour, including software and firmware update download time. The Windows-based setup wizard was simple and foolproof. Hardest thing about getting it working was configuring my AT&T U-Verse router's firewall (I didn't find good U-Verse specific step-by-step process, but the TCP/UDP ports mentioned for 3G access was sufficient).I connected @TV to the rarely-used TV / U-verse receiver in our upstairs game room, so now I actually get some value from that unit.As for the product, the PC user-interface is fantastic. It actually shows me an exact replica of my U-Verse remote control, and all the controls work exactly like the real remote - very nice! The picture quality and automatic bandwidth adjustment works great.I need a player to use at our lake house, which is several hundred miles away, so I planned to use my iPAD 3GS. Good news is, the @TV player for iPAD is free, and it works if all you want to do is watch the video on the iPAD. In fact, on the way to our lake house last night, my wife watch Blue Blood and Big Bang theory that's recorded on the U-Verse at 80 MPH on I-45 (she used her Android / Verizon WiFi hot spot). It worked very well on 4G and decent on 3G, once we got off the freeway. The biggest issue is, the iPad player for @TV doesn't provide video output via the iPad HDMI adapter. When you connect Apple's HDMI adapter to the iPad running @TV for iPad, you get audio but no video. I tried three different TV's and 5 different HDMI ports - no joy. Netflix and all other video players properly mirror the video from the iPad to HDMI adapter, but not the @TV. I assume this is a bug that will be fixed soon, and isn't too unexpected, given the product is fairly new to the marketplace. On the iPad and Android, the remote control is "generic"; that is, it doesn't bear any resemblance to the U-Verse remote and is a little clunky - we couldn't find a way to "skip forward" past the commercials on the DVR for recorded programs (now that's a necessary feature). It was for these two issues that I rate the @TV a 4 instead of 5. Overall, I'm very satisfied and certain the @TV was the right decision vs. the Slingbox Pro, which I had been seriously considering. The horrible reviews on Amazon for Slingbox's product quality and support failures caused me to seek out an alternative - glad I did.The @TV is 50% less expensive than Slingbox and does everything I need it do (except for the HDMI for iPad, which I'm certain will get fixed - meantime, I'm watching football in HD at my lakehouse on the weekend with @TV using the HDMI output from my Samsung smartphone running @TV on Android, which works well). Given the attention to detail and overall quality of the product, I'm sure Belkin with smooth out these remaining rough edges with some time, in which case, I would revise my rating to a 5.Highly-recommend the @TV for video placeshifting!-------------------Edit: I contacted Belkin Support regarding the broken iPad HDMI - no response, except for an auto-response email saying they would reply within 1 business day - they did not.Due to lack of support for @TV and broken iPad HDMI video, I'm lowering my rating.

Some problems but otherwise works as advertised....
First of all, after reading many of these reviews, I believe there is a lot of misinformation being reported. So, take these reviews with a grain of salt. I have had my @TV up and running for about a month now, and it works great. I use mine mainly to watch my DirecTV while I am working out at my gym.My first surprise came when I opened up the box. When I opened up the factory sealed box, which was clearly labeled @TV Plus, inside the box was a G2V1000 @TV Premium. So, I am guessing there is not much difference between the Plus and Premium. I also wish to state that the Amazon vendor, Webs Best Deals, was great to work with. They promptly answered my emails.A number of reviewers have said that the smartphone app costs money. Not sure what phones they were using, but, I found that if I went to Google Play, they charged for the Android app, but, if I went to Amazon Apps, the download is free.Installation was pretty straight forward, but, this was where I ran into the first bit of misinformation. Several reviewers indicated one MUST use WiFi. Even Belkin's YouTube installation video left me with the impression WiFi was required. It wasn't until after I set the unit up with WiFi enabled I came across Belkin's full installation guide which clearly states for best results, an Ethernet connection is preferred. However, I really did not see much difference in performance, but then my home WiFi signal usually gives me 25 - 30 Mbps.I reran the installation software to remove the WiFi connection so now it is only connected to my LAN via hardwire. I tested the streaming locally at my home and all was fine. I went to my gym to try out the @TV but I kept getting an error stating my @TV box could not be found. After doing some research I found that since I have two bridges/switches daisy chained between my router and the @TV, I needed to perform port forwarding on the @TV ports in my router's set up screen. I have a Linksys EA4500 and I had no problems. After the port forwarding on the router was completed I had no issues "seeing" my @TV from any remote location.I found that some of the remote control features in the Android app were not working, as some other reviewers have noted. However, I also found that if I held the button for a couple of seconds, I could bring up a drop down box of reassignment functions for the given key. My "Page Up" and "Page Dn" buttons both had a default value of "1". By bringing up the drop down box, I could change the value of Page Up or Dn to "Cursor Up" or "Cursor Dn" and the Page Up and Page Dn functions then worked perfectly. I am guessing one could reassign most key functions this way.Belkin's Electronic Program Guide (EPG) is tied to your satv/cable provider and works slick. However, I had all kinds of issues getting it work consistently. About 50% of the time whenever I brought up the EPG, I would get sent to the set up screen to re-select my country (USA) and my zip code. I would enter the correct values and get an error saying there was no provider found for that zip code. No matter what zip code I would enter I would get this error. I contacted Belkin tech support via their online chat and was told that I had to call their toll-free number. I then called the number and after spending some 45 minutes with tech support, I was told it would be referred to their tier 2 support and I would get a call back in 24 - 48 hrs. Tech support appears to be located over in India and the techs seem to only go by scripted responses. If someone calls with an issue that is not covered by their scripts, they just pass it on to someone else.I did not hear back from the tier 2 support within the 24 - 48 hours so I was left to figure out on my own what the issue may have been. I found that whenever the EPG would not load, if I turned off the droid's WiFi, and went on my wireless provider's 3G or 4G lte network, I had no problems getting the EPG to load. I also had no issues getting the EPG to load from any of the remote WiFi locations I frequently used. The issue seemed to be only when my droid was connecting to my local LAN's WiFi. I also noticed after a while that whenever the EPG would not load, my droid's WiFi speeds were below 3Mbps. I downloaded the app to my wife's android and found her phone exhibited the exact same issues. I also noticed that whenever this occurred, the PC app worked flawlessly. I decided it must be something in my router's WiFi settings causing issues.I did some more research about WiFi speed issues with my specific router and found that if I changed the router's WiFi from "Mixed" to "B/G Only" for 2.4 GHz and from "Mixed" to "N Only" for 5 GHz both of our droids had no issues with WiFi speeds dropping off and I have not had any issues with the EPG not loading. Finally, someone from Tier 2 support called, told me they had never heard of my issue with the EPG not loading, and that I should contact whomever I purchased the @TV from for an exchange. I told them I did not believe it was an @TV hardware issue and that I thought it had to do with the WiFi speeds of my router. I told them they could close the trouble ticket as I no longer seem to be having problems. I am simply relaying this in case someone else has an issue with the EPG not loading. From what I have determined one needs a minimum of a 3 Mbps WiFi connection for the EPG to work correctly. Streaming live TV does not appear to suffer from this limitation as it worked just fine whenever the EPG would not load.I would have given the product 5 stars if it weren't for Belkin's mediocre customer support.Hope this helps someone.

It's Okay.
Device is only capable of connecting with composite cables and only with one device. Device must be turned on for the picture on tv to show. Sometimes video can cut out even while on local wifi connection. Overall, device is capable of what is advertised.

We went through 3 or 4 Slingboxes before deciding to try another brand. If anything, this has certainly held out for a long time (2+ years, which would be extraordinary for a Slingbox). My only complaints are sometimes I will try to connect to the device, only to get a message that it is unresponsive and I can't do anything to fix it until I'm home again to reset it.
