This multiple vitamin is a real help for us and we've taken it for a few years now.

I am an American expatriate who retired to the mountains of western Panama. Our regional "PriceSmart" membership discount store carries Kirkland brand items, but no longer carries the multivitamins, so I turned to Amazon. My current bottle is almost empty, so I am about to reorder. I place an Amazon order for several items once every month or two to get free shipping to Miami, and to reduce my forwarding costs to Panama.The lack of a coating probably helps to keep the price low - as does the fact that there are no big product advertising and marketing budgets to support. Coatings can mask odor, make swallowing easier, and block moisture - which can help prevent spoilage, but these are not problems for me, and not worth the extra cost. My current bottle of these multivitamins - which I just opened and smelled - has only a mild vitamin odor. Although the tablets are quite large, I find them easy to swallow. (I always take a sip of water before trying to swallow any pill to prevent them from sticking in a dry throat - which can be a very unpleasant experience.)I live in a cool and frequently damp mountain rain forest region, and always keep the vitamin bottle closed with the silica gel cylinder inside to keep the tablets dry and help prevent mold or other spoilage. I am not worried about the expiration date, because they are typically government mandated conservative numbers If you keep the tablets dry and cool, they should not spoil or loose much potency over a couple of years.Bottom line - these inexpensive multivitamins for seniors save me a bit of money, and provide a good balance of vitamins and minerals to supplement my reasonably well-balanced diet.

Just what I needed

Kirkland Signature Mature Multi Vitamins & Minerals with Lycopene and Lutein 400 Tablets: Do multivitamins work? I don't know. But better for me to spend 4 cents a day for these caplets, just in case they do. I started taking Centrum Silver for Men when I turned 50 twelve years ago, then the Kirklands 2 years ago. So far so good. Even with poor diet choices I haven't developed any deficiencies. These Kirkland Signature Mature Multi Vitamins are 1/2 the price and apparently identical by ingredients. They're yellowish as opposed to Centrum reddish. But they smell & taste identical. They're not a problem to swallow, with water. Their taste is weak and vaguely unpleasant but neither medicinal nor candy-like. My only complaint: ordered in late August 2023. Bottle of 400 pills expire September 2024. So, at 1 per day, I'll have 2 months of expired pills in September 2024. Oh well. I'll stick the bottle in the fridge and hope that any deterioration is slowed.

A giant bottle of vitamins like most Kirkland giant things. Good value. If you have room in the cupboard you will not need to buy vitamins until the following calendar year.

Age 76 - I am not sure any diet provides all the nutrients that I need, so I have been taking one of these each day. As I said, I don't know if they work, but it makes me feel better!

Mist likely will look for another brand as price keeps going up. Still good buy. However if your a member of Costco's I'm guessing might be cheaper in store. Do your homework they are not cheap but not expensive either. Your ca
