Does what it should
Gripper works fine. I like the trigger action. The weigh scale is not at all accurate.

Grip is ok. Scale, not so much.
The grip worked fine. The scale calibration instructions were screwed up. They showed a five lb. increment in the instructions and there is no five lb. increment on the unit. The first number you see is 8 lb. I emailed Cuda and they said they are going to correct it. They told me to just calibrate using the 8 lb. mark. Also, the poundage increments are small.

It works okay. Maybe there's a learning curve but it took an awful lot of tries to be able to keep a 20 pound fish from slipping out of the prongs. As it is a 50 pound scale I'd expect it to be a bit easier.

Feels well made. They don't also seem to get a solid lock on the fish. I also had them lock up I believe due to sand getting in the mechanism. Used for wade fishing trout and reds.

It broke on the second day of use
I bought this fish scale grip on November of 2020 for a fishing trip I had on January 2021. The firts day of use went perfect, but on the second day it broke. The two days I was able to use it the biggest fish (peacock bass) weighed 22lb. Since this scale was meant to withstand up to 50lb there was no reason for it to break. For the rest of the trip I was left without a fish scale. For a 40 dollar grip I was expecting so much more than two days of use.
