Fun and well made
I bought this set on somewhat of a whim, just to see what they were like, and overall I have to say that I'm pretty impressed. Although the individual pieces are a bit smaller than I was expecting, they are quite well made and generally fit together snugly. You do occasionally get two that don't really connect firmly, but its really only an issue if its on an outside edge. Overall the consistency of the pieces is quite good. They're also quite fun to play with, Assembling the predesigned figures is really only the beginning - after that it's time to come up with designs of your own. They actually work quite well to make retro 8-bit designs, if you want to build characters from NES-era games. I plan to buy some of the other sets to expand my collection of pieces/colors to make new design options available.I do have a couple of complaints, but they are overall minor: one is that all of the pieces have a definite front and back. The front is a nice matte finish: the back has a number stamped in it (I assume the number refers to something in the manufacturing process, like which machine that particular piece was made on so they can track defects. When you're putting the pieces together, you want to make sure that they're all facing the same direction for the best look. It would also be nice if the pieces came in a resealable bag. You have to rip open the bag they come in to get them out, and the box has a whole in the front to show off the pieces. Its not that hard to find a bad or container to store them in, but it seems like it would be very easy to make the bag they come in originally resealable. As I said, fairly minor complaints. Overall, I think the product is quite good, and hope they release some additional sets.

Durable and creative
I was pleasantly surprised with this toy. My daughter (7) has been watching me do large puzzles and diamond paintings for awhile. She has wanted to join in, but still isn’t quite patient enough for either. This was the perfect combination of both for us to work on together. The template makes assembly super simple, yet keeps the sense of accomplishment. Most importantly, the end product is DURABLE. We made the fish and my kids toted it around the house for several weeks before I finally insisted we disassemble. Such a cool puzzle, but definitely still requires an adult to take it apart.

Creativity, Fun, Great family time!
Are you considering buying these? Stop reading this review right now, scroll up, and click buy!We are extremely happy with Jixelz! Our kids and us adults all love playing with them and they are addicting. This will be our new go-to gift for parties. They are easy to assemble and take apart by us and the kids and remarkable are still very sturdy and don't just fall apart. The sample pictures to build are easy to follow, but going rogue with your own designs are even more fun. The only thing I don't like is I wish we had more. I've run out of colors a few times in the 1500 piece set. Great product and I'm sure your family will enjoy them too.

It's OK
I bought this as a gift for my student. He loves a similar version of this toy, from a Danish company, called plus plus. The former definitely surpasses this iteration in quality and ease of use. I found the interlocking pieces a bit tough to push into place, considering how small they are. It's a decent toy. Nothing thrilling, but not a dud either.

Great for airplane
Light weight and small. 9 year old loved doing this on airplane. Will definitely get more.

Creative toy
These are awesome! My 9-year old son loved putting them together and so did I. You can either make the parrot or the rocket, hot air balloon, bird and plane. The pieces are small. I’d say they aren’t super easy to put together but aren’t super hard either... somewhere in the middle. You can build over the color grid picture or without it for more of a challenge. My son loves perler beads, which reminded me of these except you don’t have to iron the Jixelz. The other difference is they aren’t permanently put together, so you take it apart and make something else. I liked that unlike a normal puzzle you can pick these up to move them off of the table when it’s time to eat. He can pick them up & play with them too.

LOVE IT!!
I'm not so sure who likes this toy more, my kids or myself. It's like the toy I'd dreamed of when i was a kid, pieces of a puzzle that I could use to "draw" whatever I want. My kids and I spend HOURS creating things, they build "magic hearts" and take them around pretending to be heroes with them, they've created birds, butterflies, among many other things. the pieces are smaller than I expected, they're about 1cm or 3/8" square, but i guess it makes sense if you look at the proportion of the kids holding their projects in the pic. The printout of the suggested projects is a tiny bit off, which was driving me crazy when we first got it and tried to create the bird and the hot air balloon, but we soon moved on to our own projects so I'm over it. another thing is that that printout doesn't last long, at least not in my house. It already has holes so I don't think we'll be keeping it for much longer, which is ok. overall, if you or your kids love puzzles and drawing, this is a good toy.

So much fun!
Love these!!! My 7 year old, 14 year old, and 17 year old have enjoyed this new puzzle activity during our winter break. Allows you to make the model designs or get creative with your own designs. Fosters focus, creativity, persistence, fine motor, and fun!! The pieces are very tiny ( smaller than my thumb nail) so not for little ones and requires some fine motor control. If kiddos can do fuse bead crafts they are ready for this.

Beware of bad batches!
I bought 2 sets, the first one was really good and had precision cut pieces. The second set was a disaster, the pieces were poorly cut and almost impossible to put together.

Disappointed
The pieces are small that is fine but they don't grip to each other well. My 7 year old boy get disappointed and refused to finish them as they kept falling every time he tries to connect them.

Great
I had a lot of fun with the kids making these. They look great. A few pieces fit loosely but if used in the middle and surrounded by others they clamp nice and tight. A great kit and I will look out for more!
