Review: Great guitar and customer service - The guitar arrived with a static pickup switch. I contacted Customer Service at Schecter and they recommended a cleaner and if that didn't solve the problem, they would send a new switch. The cleaner fixed the problem. The craftsmanship is good, some frets are a bit unfinished but this is expected for this price, at least so they say. I got a two humbucker guitar to replace a BC Rich. Even though this guitar is not the metal vibe, the humbuckers sure purr like a pussy cat. It feels good to play it with the gain and volume all the way up. The guitar sounds good for blues, rock, heavy metal, jazz, it has nice tones, but it definitively likes to play blues. I like to play heavy stuff, but I somewhat always end up playing blues licks. With that said, I plan on getting a strictly metal guitar because this one doesn't even want to be tuned down to E flat or D. Other than the resolved issue with the switch and the frets, this guitar is ready to play out of the box.

**Q: Is this 24 frests?**
A: Yes, 24 frets. In addition, this guitar plays as well as some of the higher end guitars I've owned, and it sounds fantastic. For the price, you won't find a better guitar in my opinion. And the push-pull coil split is a great feature.

**Q: Is the headstock heavy or is it well balanced?**
A: I find it pretty well balanced. That is to say that I never thought of it because it hasn’t been an issue. I bought a second!

**Q: Neither the images or description match the manufacturers description for the "schecter omen extreme-6 (see thru black)"?**
A: Thought the same, bought it anyways and was not dissapointed

Fantastic and smooth rhythm guitar. Sounds really good for the price. I think I like this over my $1000 guitar very smooth to play and no scratches. Plus the black is awesome looking.

### ⭐⭐⭐⭐ Great guitar, but neck and truss rod took some tweaking

I love playing this guitar. + low action + fatty frets + tuners feel great + coil split is neat, but sounds a little flat when compared with my strat. I find myself almost exclusively using the humbuckers, which have a bass heavy tone and handle distortion extremely well - volume knob order is opposite of the pickup selector order - output jack was loose - neck required a lot truss rod adjustment before finding a sweet spot where the low E string wasn't buzzing on frets 1-2 or 6-9. I'll need to get it set up by a luthier someday, but this took a bit of trial and error to resolve.
