Hickory Farms Beef Summer Sausage

I make my own "lunchable" with this product. I slice 6 pieces of the summer sausage and 6 like sizes of a good cheese and I have a yummy lunch with limited sugars and crap. This is pretty "clean" considering it is a processed meat. I really like it.

If you ever sold cheeze and sausage as a school fundraiser then you know what I mean.The flavor is mild and the texture is in that sweet spot between chunky and mealy like bologna. The whole mustard seed is a delight.Is sold as a single. It's also sold as a triple. This gets 4 stars because for me the Goldilocks pack is two.

The item was very tasty, great customer service and it was shipped very fast.

I have been eating this summer sausage for years. I can't find them in nearby stores, and other brands aren't as good, in my opinion. Amazon is the easiest way for me to purchase this. I just try not to dwell on the cost per pound!

I gave it three stars because I haven’t opened it yet to taste it. It just came in the mail. It is exceptionally small for the price of almost $18.00 I’m very disappointed because the package was made to look as if there were two in there and there’s only one. And that one is about the size of my hand. It will fit in one hand. I certainly hope the taste is worth it.

If you are going to order a summer sausage, it has to be Hickory Farms, they have the best flavor.

I e bought this from this vendor once before so I ordered another for a friend that liked it. The second one was no where near like the first. The packaging was loose around the sausage, not vacuum packed like before, or like they are when sold in malls. There was an odd brownish and slightly green tint to it. Not seeing the color when it was first cut, we had some and we’re very put off by the taste and texture. I checked the label and it did not appear to be expired however, the taste and appearance definitely seemed to point to a past expiration point. I think I will wait to order again until the cheesy kiosks open again at the holidays.
