Amazing product
My 12 yr old had surgery on her shin and had to keep it completely waterproof during our Caribbean vacation. We were so bummed but this boot, as we called it, was so easy to use and kept her wound completely dry. It comes with a ball you attach to squeeze the air out of the boot and it suctions to the foot with a vacuum seal. And the bottom has a slight tread so it is safe to walk in slippery areas. This product worked great in the ocean and the pool; totally saved our vacation. We bought two in case we lost one during our trip. We tried another type of cast cover that stretched over and did not prove to be waterproof, for us anyway. Definitely recommend this product to anyone needing 100% waterproofing.

BUY THIS!!!!!
Fantastic product! Forget all the other "bags" to cover your cast or wound dressings, none of which come close to matching the durability, ease of use, comfort, and piece of mind. An absolute time saver as well. I used mine for over 2 years during my recovery from a shattered ankle and open fractures to both bones on my lower leg, complicated by 3 infections. none of which were caused by outside entry of water. it allowed me to shower on a regular basis without having to worry about my wounds getting wet at all. it is well worth the cost as it will far outlast any of the clear plastic boots with the welded seams. easy on and off. comes with a squeeze bulb to remove the air for an excellent fit. I absolutely recommend this to anyone who needs to keep an arm or leg from getting wet. try it, I don't think you'll find a better product than this. I showed it to my wound care specialists and they were so impressed that they now recommend it to those who need to keep their wounds clean and protected. thank you very much for offering such a great product!

Amazing product!!!! Vacation saver!!!
This thing is awesome. My husband broke his ankle a week before a trip to Mexico. I bought this hoping that it would at least let him be at the pool without concerns getting his cast wet. But, it was even more awesome than I hoped. He was able to swim and be fully submerged in the water everyday for a week and had no issues with leakage. It also was nice for keeping sand out of his cast. He did report it was sweaty, but it was a trade-off he happily accepted.I bought both sizes considering some of the reviews stating that they couldn't get it on and he fell right on the borderline. The small fit perfect. It wasn't easy to get on, especially the first time. You did have to carefully stretch it. I also bought a cast cover which he used before putting it on. Though he said that it wasn't really necessary except to protect his knuckles when pulling the waterproof cover over his cast. But it is meant to be tight. If you follow the instructions carefully you should have no trouble. His leg generally looked like a vacuum-sealed package of blue meat. After the first time, he could get it on in a few minutes with no issues. I HIGHLY recommend this.*I also highly recommend the iWalk crutch. Between the two, our vacation was a lot of fun and we didn't even really notice he had a broken ankle.

This works well BUT you must get ALL air out!
I used this while swimming in pools and snorkeling in the ocean. It survived 9 of 10 days of vacation, but I’m the first to admit that I didn’t rinse it with fresh water after chlorine or salt water, which no doubt would have greatly improved its life. I also have huge calves, with an even bigger cast diameter at my calf, so hat put a lot of stress on the smaller part at thre top of the cover. That said, if you need a cast cover for swimming, this one is great and can do the trick. HOWEVER - you must get ALL the air out of the cover. That means pumping the air out multiple times and even submerging your foot up to the pump to force the air out while you are using the pump. It should feel very tight against your toes and your should clearly see the outline of your cast and your smaller toes (it might feel a bit tight but not too uncomfortable and important it be tight). Reason why is that every bit of air in the cover before submerging completely in water will be displaced and can force water into the cover while you are swimming. Even if you think you got all the air out, pull the pump mechanism away from your leg and pump again a few times. I had waterproof cast padding so a bit of water was no big deal, but for those with cotton padding, this is an absolute must to keep 100% dry.My main gripe with the cast cover is that the pump is directly in front on the shin, rather than on the side, which was not really compatible with my knee scooter or hands free crutch - so it made it really uncomfortable to walk down to the water on Beach with cast cover on already.

This thing absolutely SAVED my vacation!!!
I had a tone nail removed permanently about a month and a half before a Hawaiian vacation and the toe was failing to drain/heal as quickly as the doctor said it would. It was frustrating!! It was not fully healing and I was worried I would not be able to get in the water. It was almost healed by the time we left but I didn't want to risk infection so I started looking for insurance of some sort. Ultimately I found this cast protector and thought I'd invest 35 bucks and return it if it ended up being a dud. Much to my surprise however, it worked phenomenally! I used it for an entire week in Hawaii. From the pool, to the ocean, to the hot tub and back in the ocean, it worked like a charm. Not a drop of water entered. The vacuum function was quick, easy and effective! Once the air is sucked out it's completely water/air tight. I even took this on a snorkel excursion for 4 hours and it was perfect! Can't imagine not being able to get in the water in Hawaii so this thing was definitely a lifesaver! There was a bit of condensation/sweat on the inside when I got out of the hot tub because of the heat, but other than that the only thing I had to worry about was looking kind of weird walking around the resort with a blue piece of rubber strapped to my leg. It made for a good story and an unforgettable vacation. You will not regret buying this!
